Being released in Oct 23 it was initially due for retirement in Dec 25 which would give it a 2 year shelf life which for a UCS is about average, however, this apparently got extended to Dec 26 making it 3 years. It's not unheard of for LEGO to change retirement dates.... just try and keep your eye out for a decent sale price, but you've got a while before it's set to retire based in the information out there at present 😀

Great Video and rundown of the sets retiring. The Skiff should stay as the SailBarge is still on shelves just like the ATAT and the Hoth Battle Pack and ATST. Crazy Work. A Star Destroyer, imperial and rebel drop ship should also be evergreen as you need troops and capital ships. 👀 are on that Star Destroyer I need my Cal. I would like to get Saw Garrera but I don't really want the Sith Infiltrator. I would get the Droideka too but there's just too much LEGO I want to get and I want to do stuff for TFA 10th anniversary so MOC sets and other Replicas and I'm craving 2015 Bionicle as I missed out on the original wave and it's apparently rumoured to comeback. Ninjago 😮💨 I'm still trying to get DR season 1 but I might just go to the Wolf Mask Dojo, and Kai's Climber mech, arins car is too much.

Cheers buddy much appreciated!!! Yeah i agree the Skiff should remain out for a bit longer, but I get the feeling the sets with the anniversary figs will all go at a similar time!!! The Skiff is a great set, i saw it for £40 the other day, and the fact it include nein numb makes it a bargain!! The Star Destroyer is a tough one, Cal is a big selling point, but he remains pricey as the set seems to be exclusive to lego and amazon still so not many sales... not sure if that will always be the case!! So many cool sets coming this year as well, it's going to be an expensive one!! I've just dropped a video discussing all the rumoured sets, take a look if you get 5!! The AT-TE is a head-scratcher I am pretty sure it's retiring in 2025 but some sources have it in 2026. You did not include it.

Yeah i agree, that's been on the shelves since Aug 22, so expected it to go well before now, but word yet. You only have to look at the Vader Helmet which has been around for years!! The Kenner style cards are awesome! I was watching a video about collecting Star Wars figures and the guy has a big box style frame with the same style colours for every Star wars action figure and I was thinking wouldn’t it be awesome to make one for Lego figures. I’m collecting the 25th anniversary figures and was going to create something for them in the same style.

That's the biggest problem with this set, only lego and amazon seem to be carrying stock so you rarely see it on sale, which means the price of Cal Kestis remains high! My advice as I've given to others is wait for may4th, lego will do double VIP points and a promo which you could either keep so it feels you're getting more for your money or sale to offset the cost! 😀 thanks for watching bud

The droid that you described is actually R2KT. This is QTKT Which is featured on Clone Wars. Lego should have made QTKT as thats the droid modeled after the lil girl who passed away sadly. Its fine everyone got this wrong at first. Found out through ANT BANDIT'S collecting every astromech vid!

Hi bud, yeah it's a really sad story. From my understanding QT-KT was made as a tribute to R2-KT which was made by the founder of the 501st group for his daughter. I think they were purposely different to avoid confusion, but this is the reason QT exist 😀 either way, it's a touching story and a lovely figure and tribue to the little girl. Everyone says the duel on Peridia is a boring set but it looks just like the scene and it came with all those figs for a good price instead of putting em all behind a high price tag which allows more people to get em

Yeah it's a very fair point. When you compare Thrawn to his previous version it seems like a bargain to get your hands on a new one, but when you look at the set itself, it only includes 382 which is 1 piece LESS then the dropship which cost £34.99 and includes an anniversary figure... personally I think £40 would have been a fairer price tag, you are definitely paying a premium for the figs! 👍

@@RebelBrix no doubt. There is Definitely a StarWars tax on the figs. As far as piece count goes, I never bother comparing because I don't feel like any 1 part is worth the exact same as any other part. Take Cad Bane's Justifier. Everyone says it's overpriced but as someone who owns it, I can say with how huge it is, how great it looks, the cool way that the tail going up and down from landed to flight mode lifts the landing gear up, and the figs, it is definitely worth the price and people will be kicking themselves later for not buying it.

@hoarder66 yeah i hear ya!! The figs in the Perida set were definitely the selling point, maybe one or two more Night Troopers would have justified the price so we can army build, but we're bound to see those released later in the year in one of the battle packs!! 😀

@SquidMancz the problem with this set is in the UK at least, it's only being sold at Lego or amazon, therefore it's price has remained pretty much constant!! My advice is wait for may 4th, lego usually offer double vip points and some sort of promo would you could potentially sale to offset the initial spend! Thanks for watching bud 👍

It's unlikely you'll get a definitive date, a lot of the time it doesn't even get marked as retired on the lego website, it will simply go out of stock. My advise would be to pick it up on May4th, lego usually do double vip points and good promos which you could sale to offset the cost of the set 😀

Agreed!!! Personally I think it might be pushed, wouldn't be the first time! That said, it's been pretty reduced everywhere now, I saw it for £44 at the weekend then it doesn't seem as bad as it is a lovely skiff!! Also, chuck in Nein Numb as a 25th anniversary fig and it will be a sort after set once it does retire!! I don't think lego will include him in another set anytime soon, then he'll be like plastic gold!! 🤣🤣🤣

I found this set out in the wild today for 50% off, at Wal-Mart. Perhaps it'll be on sale at other stores. But you are correct. It is a bit overpriced.

Ah battlefront!! What a game that was!! Still holds up well, i literally can't believe they never made a 3rd one!! To be honest the set isn't a great in my opinion but as i said in the review, the draw is QT-KT, I think lego could have done half the job and the set would have still sold well for that minifigure alone!! When displaying my figures I always leave the legs slightly out, just to limit the stress on the torso to prevent cracking. Nothing more then personal preference so don't judge! Lol 🤣🤣

Great Question!! Mainly promotional items, May4th sets tend to come with a GWP (give away with purchase) which in many cases has been a collectible minufigure in polybag! Some have also been included with computer games such as the Skywalker Saga 😀

I wouldn't recommend buying any expensive figure that has a exclusive print on a common part, people don't realise how many pad printers are out there that can easily make indistinguishable copies of these figures.

Yep I tend to agree, it's a real shame for those that collect the figures, as it's hard to Spot what's real vs fake these days! Sometimes today pad printing can be too good, if you look at the 2003 boba fett, one of the tell tell signs is actually how bad the print is on it, regards quality and alignment. I'll be doing a similar video soon. Cheers 👍

@RebelBrix Safest bet is to just buy new in box but with sets like cloud city that unfortunately is not an option for most people. One figure I've seen at least a few pad printed copies of being sold as genuine is Revan (I could tell by the belt print) polybag figures like him should definitely be bought new in package for anyone considering buying one.

@True56434 yep 100% agree!! Unfortunately the technology these days is so advanced, copies are entering the market all the time!! As I say, for the older figs the official ones actual had worst print, so perfect ones are usually fakes!!! I agree regards the polybags, I've kept all mine sealed, I'm actually going to create a video on all of them but it will take some time as there are just over 25 in total!!! 😮

The 2003 boba was much harder to fake thankfully!! I'll be doing a similar video soon help spot the red flags! The UV printed ones can't reproduce the pad printing on the arms which allow the white dots to show through the yellow armour, also uv prints are too perfect!! That was one of the reasons the figure was discontinued so soon as it was so exspensive for LEGO to produce at the time 👍
