This reminds me of Pat McGrath’s subversive. I really like the look, but I’ve the subversive so I would probably use that on the eyes and maybe only get the lips and nail polish. Even the Milky Way shade can be replace by that mothership. There’s a shade that looks exactly like it. It performs nicer too.

Hi Geneviève! I thank you for reviewing the Guerlain holiday collection. The look you created with the quad is pretty on you - on me it would be too pink - however, I have created great looks by combining the holiday quad with the fall quad (purple, bright white, red and black - not using the red though). On its own, I can use the holiday quad as blush - and when applied lightly, it actually looks great and stays put all day. I also love the meteorites. Love the lipstick cover with the 08 lipstick. This collection is a lot of fun but I would have passed on the quad if the compact had been plain. Overall, I am happy with my purchases - in Canada, the collection arrived in October so I have had a lot of time to play with it. Thanks again.

Genevieve you really created a gorgeous look with the collection . I purchased the palette, the meteorites , and the lipstick case with another pink shade instead of the red color . I skipped the bronzer because I have so many Guerlain bronzers . I may decide to go back and think about the red lipstick if it is still available . Thank you for your application techniques , it will be helpful for me when I am applying the eyeshadow palette and I am definetely going to try the pink shade as a blush . I love the beautiful crystal embellishment . It was worth the cost .

The eye look is beautiful . I love Laura mercier ‘s tinted moisturizers in particular the tinted light revealer . I just bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills eye palette in sugar which I haven’t tested yet but it has some similar colors . I probably will pass on this palette even though I love the aqua blue color .

Yes I agree I am using products that are not my favorite on days I do not go out so they do not go bad and I can use them up. I bought the smaller Dior Ecrin Couture Palette .I find the colors look very good on their own but even better layered with other eyeshadows.The look you did with last years palette was very natural and beautiful.

I like the gift sets but I wish Chanel would put them with a different color bag bc I feel like it will look dirty 2 fast, black or navy just something darker,bc even tho I'm not a huge Dior fan, I do have a Dior gift set that came with a bag that exact cream color &: while I like the little fabric cream colored gift bag, I can attest it's dirty & no matter what I do I can't keep it clean,so while these Chanel winter gift set bags are pretty it would b nice if they used a more practical color so the gift bag looks nice years after the makeup that came with them are gone, bc isn't the gift bag a big part of y we buy these gift sets? Otherwise I can just buy the items that come in them separately,and I wanted 2 buy the Chanel gift set with the 3 lipglosses, but that bag it came with was a big deterrent 4 me.

I love the final look. If you think Sephora Uk doesn’t get many brands, well Sephora Australia is worse. One reason is we have another chain store called Mecca that has paid for the rights to be the only store to sell some brands products, Sol de Janiero is one of them. Also there is a lot of brands that just don’t come here at all. So sad.

i just ordered shade 100-dreams. However the reason i ordered it, is because of the color and glitters, but mostly for the fact that it is transfer proof. But i don't think i heard you mention if it is or not? You did not do the transfer proof test lol!

I am from Europe (Czech Republic) and our Sephora is amazing, but nearly 20 years my family and I are living all over the world. Right now we are living in KSA and Sephora here is the worst I have ever seen. Little products, little selection of brands, always out of stock, high prices and nearly no discounts 😥 so I have to plan my shopping very carefully.
