Since crypt is on it's way out the door, here is an update to crypt. This if statement checks which OS you have and runs the appropriate command. I only included two popular install methods with apt and dnf so if you have Arch or something else you'll need to use a different install command. The package is python3-passlib. Install that and you can run the one liner command I wrote at the bottom of this comment. Hi Jim, I am running Oracle VirtualBox for this lab & when I get to the point: run scap-workbench I am getting the following error qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found. This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, xcb. Glad to see Big Blue jumping into open source to lend a hand to something where no one entity is going to be like a Google. The steps of switching from elasticsearch to loki stack are confusing, to say the least. I can't find any RH documentation covering all the log storage configurations. Not everyone is using AWS S3 as the logstore, but the documentation only talk about that.
