Hi JP! Sideloaders are not legally defined the same as a Hiab/Loader crane, despite the extensions. The exact requirements vary somewhat from country to country. As the manufacturer, we always require our customers to do our operator training for warranty etc to be in effect. Our goal is to make operations as safe and smooth as possible for everyone involved.

I personally know numerous sideloader operators in various States across Australia (including myself), non of whom have ever had any formal training to operate a sideloader as employers say that it simply doesn't exist. Strangely, there also doesn't appear to be any licensing requirements.

Hi Jaco and thank you for your feedback. This is a very old movie (about 20 years old) so not everything you see here is relevant today. For example the remote we have today is very similar to the one Swinglift have. We also have other models that are much more similar to the more common Swinglift model than the one shown in the movie, and as far as we are aware they are at least as safe and faster, while also having more functionallity. Hi. I used to use a swinglift for a quite few years. But now i am on a hammer(not a leg over model)for 2 weeks now. Now that i have used it, i dont feel it is as unstable as a Steelbro. That was what i compared it to. Even with a 29 ton box its actually very smooth. The only thing with the remote is that i am used to to quick jump from the front to rear modules with the toggle switch on the right... now with a box hanging in the air i need to push mkre buttons to go rear or front module. Maybe you should look into a easier or quicker way jump from front to rear. Other than that its good. Leaks less oil than my Swinglift👍
