Good music and musicianship is obviously NOT going away anytime soon. Not with top level young talent like this on the horizon.

The percussion was originally done with brushes not sticks.
@TheMaineSurveyor2 жыл бұрын
True, but there are several possible reasons for this: the drummer may not know how to stir with brushes, brushes may not have been available, the drummer simply prefers sticks, or this wasn’t ever intended to be an exact duplication of the original record. There’s probably other possibilities, as well.

Well yes david doest really know how to use brushes but he kinda learned last minute but me (Albert) i kinda know how to do a it a little better but he played brushes when we played the christmas song also by guaraldi he used brushes but in our jazz band we played it last year and it this type of drum pattern but yea all in all both versions sound good.

Not a piano expert but at 0:35 your right hand seemed a little tense. Don't worry about being perfect and hitting everything correctly. If you want to do a Vince Guaraldi jazz piece just relax and have fun;).

Hi yea Im tha pianist in the vid and yea It does get tense because its kinda hard to not get tense because i had learned wrong so now im kind of trying to be more relaxed and less tense by playing it slowing and having light fingers which i apply to my other pieces

@@thatmemer2068 Again, I'm not a piano player let alone a teacher but there's an old saying in jazz. There are no mistakes just new ways to play a piece;). If you enjoy jazz style music check out a standard like "Take the A Train" and listen to how different people interpret it. Even the same groups will play it differently from one performance to another. Or, if you like classical music check out Glen Gould's different performances of the Goldberg Variations. His 1968 interpretation is a world away from his 1982 version.

@That memer, I’m learning the same thing right now, and I’m still trying to figure the best way to do that. But you’re well ahead of me on the rest of it 😉. Keep going!
