The sign in question is a Maltese cross. It's just that it is black, so it's hard to notice.

I think *Ethics* is from the Lord, as Kant no doubt wanted to argue. It's almost like saying Kabbalah is from the Lord.

Well yes, that is true and correct. These things should be kept well. For Noahides I think vegetarianism, if I am to be strict.

Did G-d give our ancestors enough tools to, without leadership, grab their children and march headlong into the sea? Certainly, they saw the plagues, but those were administered largely to convince the Egyptians that Hashem was the true G-d. For some reason it sounds more like G-d is putting these former slaves in positions that their faith has to fail. In the desert, they must be dehydrated for thirst before G-d provides water. They must be starving before He provides food. It's easy for us to look back and accuse the Hebrews of lack of faith. I think if you put yourself in their place, knowing as little as they knew at the time, you would react as they did. In fact no one, not even Moses, who spoke with G-d directly had enough faith to walk into the sea.
