For anyone who wants kalmah to sound like the black waltz/swampsong era, get transpose pitch to change the tuning to D You're welcome
@brandonharris91608 ай бұрын
Is that like an app or something? I would like to be able to use my guitar to play along and not retune the Floyd out of D standard

Bought it ~1 year ago. Instant evergreen status. Hearing it if I play a game, doing something at home, at work and if i go into the shower. I memorized every song. Well.... *press replay again* :D

I cannot even fathom how underrated Antti is. He's a brilliant guitarist and riff maker. And ofc Kalmah is absolutely great. How many melo death bands you hear and and recognize them just from their sound? Kalmah is one of them and that's very rare.

This album is very much like their older ones and I love it. 12 Gauge and 7th Swamphony were way too thrashy.

I dunno who mixed this but I have to go back to They Will Return and Swamplord. The drums sound terrible. The quality is not there. Kalmah need Line 6 and more compression to the drums. I feel this album has lost huge amounts of quality sound.

When this came out I had a lot of expectations built up from the terrific Seventh Swamphony and didn't really care for Palo. I gave it another listen today and I can't believe I missed such an excellent album. I am amazed at how consistently good Kalmah is.

This kind of music, melodic metal played in band, requires so much skill and determination, compared to some single artist, like pop singers and rappers. Melodic bands, for me, will always be number one.

Love this band, very happy to hear they keep making exceptional music; I thought the eq was lacking a little drum volume, and even then only for short periods, just me being a cry baby 😁

Their best stuff is probably behind them, but there's still some awesome music here. They set the bar so damn high that almost anything would be a disappointment after their first 4 albums
