In my experience, it's difficult to grow DH without co2. Mine took almost a year to grow into a full dense carpet. I posted a video about it on my channel

I’d like to say that someone I knew found wild dwarf hair grass in a swampy area in Texas but Texas climate is becoming drier and drier.

These are from plugs, likely tissue cultures, but you can order or buy dwarf hair grass cultures online. Buying aquatic plant seeds online are usually a scam that will not be an aquatic plant that survives underwater long term. They might sprout, or grow as an emersed plant, but typically they're just some lettuce or grass or something cheap they're selling you at a premium.

Looks like there isn't one, just a wave maker for flow. Don't want stagnant water.

The grass is way too tall. It's more like just the regular Eleocharis Acicularis,which can grow alot taller than the mini ones

You dont need fancy substrate. Just potting soil cap with small size gravel or Eco-complete is sufficient

I love that you dirted this tank. I’m starting a dry start and stumbled upon this video. I ALMOST didn’t hit the like button because it had 69 likes and of course I didn’t want to ruin that. But I had to. Is that eco complete you used to cap the dirt? Also I saw you spread the dirt with your speedway points card..... it’s the same thing I use to scrape algae 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
