Kansas City was most definitely not named after the state but hot take bro. Those of us in St. Louis and Kansas City like the state just fine. It’s Illinois and Kansas that nobody wants anything to do with.

The color here doesn’t match the actual amount of trees. Italy, for example, is not green in the mountains and dry at their boots, it’s almost completely opposite to that. Also, elevation maps are gathered from LIDAR datasets, that ignore vegetation

Kansas City, Missouri was founded before Kansas was even a state most of Kansas City including the downtown and both is professionals. Sports teams are located in Missouri. The only thing in Kansas is just a bunch of suburbs and Kansas City, Kansas, which is a second city of his own

The state of Kansas was named after the city. US expanded west ,so since Missouri is east of Kansas, it came first. That is why it is good to know your history and geography .

They are trading cities. St. Louis is where the two biggest rivers in the country meet. When transporting cargo downstream it was beyond vital. St. Louis was also known as mound city. Look it up. Campus mounds is all that is left. For all the burial mounds of giants that used to live here.

I would rather be in st louis MO than in st louis IL. Those who know, just know. Also it's not our fault that Kansas took the name of one of our cities because they couldn't think of a name all on their own, and then another state did almost the same thing and called themselves Arkansas but couldn't spell "our" correctly and it just became ar-kansas. Also stl is part of the south, Kansas city is not.
