I always thought garbage goals back then we're more entertaining because the suspense of it almost going in, nowadays it has to be so clean to be a goal it just happens, less exciting

I'm not a Hockey fan or gamer But this look good I have few questions. 1. Why did 2K stop making NHL games? 2. Any News on if 2K will to return to make NHL games again? 3. Do you prefer this franchise over the EA hockey games?

1. So at the time of this game, 2K hockey games were decent but were not selling as well and after 2K10 they only made 2K11 for Wii. Hoping they can make 2K12 the best they could for PS3 and 360 but sadly it was announced that 2K would not be making a hockey game that year. I'm sure EA NHL had alot of pull in the market and 2K just couldn't survive with the product and trying to compete with EA. 2. At this time, I'm assuming no. Right now I think they want to just continue making the 2K basketball franchise. 3. I prefer 2K NHL in certain aspects over EA. I like the presentation of this game. The actual broadcast camera is perfect for me doing these commentary videos. It adds alot of realism to the game. By no means is the game perfect, but I have fun playing it and going through franchise mode. EA NHL I enjoy for competitive hockey. Versus, EASHL etc. Its something that EA has done right for awhile. Nothing beats playing EASHL with your friends. *EASHL stands for EA Sports Hockey League where you can create your own player, play drop in games to level up your skater or goalie then join a club and face off against other teams across the world.*

@@Raiders-wm5kb Same way you've had Fifa and Pro Evo. I think the main thing was 2l didnt sell as well as EA. NHL 11 and 12 made a massive more to physics based engines and hockey ultimate team. 2k did some really cool things some aspects of the games blow EA away even now. 2k NBA games sell so well so hopefully they will come back to ice hockey one day

If game commentary could be like yours, it would be amazing, I almost didn't click on this because I didn't think it would be that good, but you made this greatly entertaining. I loved the 2k hockey series from the start on the Dreamcast, wish they had been able to develop further on this game.

Davos, in all honesty, u should apply to some minor league AHL teams for doing radio. U really are a talented broadcaster. Broadcasting seems simple, but boy is it tough. especially hockey. u have the voice and the passion and u talk clearly. It's a talent. I can see u doing NHL games one day. Go apply. Having said that.. Can u pls tell me which NHL 2k game from 2k5 to 2k10 has the best Gameplay.. like setting up, passing, cycling the puck around the net, passing to the point, players moving around in the offensive zone open for a pass, tic tac toe goals, and not many 2 on 0 breakaways for CPU team, etc.. if you can pick 1 game that's most realistic and FUN to play from 2k5 to 2k10, which would you advise? I miss the 2k games and want to get back into them again.. thanks man and go apply for a broadcaster job.
