Nier (the one that we got originally back then in 2010 is actually called NieR Gestalt. There were two versions NieR Gestalt and NieR Replicant. The only changes between version were the age of the main character and the relationship they had with Yonah (the damsel in distress of the game), in Gestalt, nier would be her older looking "father" and in Replicant he would her teenaged "brother". We only got gestalt unil 2021, and we would only get a remake of Replicant... because it was by far the most popular version in its native japan (we only got Gestalt outside because excutives thought that no one would believe that a brother would be THAT intense about taking care of their sister)

My Xbox Indy game memory is Avatar Farm Online. I had a friend who was a budget gamer, and he bought it for a dollar, later asking me to buy it so I could help him out. It was a harvest moon/farmville style game where you just tilled land, planted stuff, and harvested it. The more you harvested, the more you unlocked and the bigger your plot of land became. The twist, though, was that crops grew based on the real life passage of time. Some crops would take a literal week in real life to mature. So, one day my friend says “I’m going on a cruise with my wife, I’ll be gone for 2 weeks. But I’m leaving my Xbox on, and the game open. I have pumkins planted, I need you to log on in 7 days and harvest them, then plant more. Then when I get back, we’ll harvest those and we can afford the barn.” It was such a simple and stupid game but boy, we were addicted. The same developer made spiritual successors to that game on steam, the newest one being in early access. The new ones have way more features, and way more things to do - but nothing will beat the simple charm of Avatar Farm Online for me.

The only AAAA game in existence, is the recent Indiana Jones games. I can't stand the story of Indiana Jones, but Holy Frigging damn does that game look Majestic. I'd play it just because of how good it looks. Also, Ubisoft's newest assassins Creed game, is being released on a well known Japanese Tragedy which was also labeled AAAA.

I remember back in the day, there was an audience that wanted mature games on Wii, and some of them sold fairly well. You can go look at Wii software sales if you don't believe it. However, over time, the mature games, which were called "core games," sold less and less. This is why mature games kept coming to Wii for a period, but eventually stopped. In my opinion, Nintendo wanted to chase the audience 360 and PS3 had, which is why they moved away from Wiimotes, a terrible decision. But it ultimately led to the Switch, so it's fine.
