I often come back to this video for inspiration. This quiet tenacity, dedication, love and most importantly God is what so many have gotten off track from, as he suggests. This video sums up how to be happy and successful in life in every way imaginable. You just have to imagine. I would suggest anyone, whom may be going thru trying times, don’t know what direction to turn, or what to do, I urge you to revisit this video and apply its principles. You will most certainly be as successful as you desire. Remember, slow motion is better than no motion.

Next year I leave my job as a pediatric emergency room technician. I love my job, but I turned 55 this year. My father passed at 50. Made a promise to myself to get out of Chicago and off the hamster wheel they have set up for us. I have a tip for all of you. Young people, if your job offers a 401k, try your best to live frugally and contribute the most you can to this. 1) You will lower your taxable income. 2) Forget about getting a tax return. Tweak your exemptions so you break even and make sure you put that money in your 401k tax deferred instead. This allows you to grow it faster. The government does not need a free loan from you every year. Trust me. Only do Roth AFTER maximizing tax deferred. Tax deferred allows more money to grow by lowering your taxable income. 3) Why save in a 401k? Well, do you want to work for someone else your ENTIRE life? There is a thing called the rule of 55. The year you turn 55, if you leave your job, you can draw down money from your 401k without the 10% penalty. You have to pay taxes on that money. So, a good strategy would be to leave your job the next January. Me, I had a 5 year plan of debt elimination and saving so that I can live a year without any income. I am moving to a state with no income tax. Then I will draw down enough money each year to keep me in the 15% tax bracket or less. I will use this money to buy a piece of land for cash. I don't want to be indebted to anyone. I will invest my time to build a small farm. Something nice to leave my children who are all grown and a different way for me to spend the rest of my days. I will be happy to just support myself. Care for some animals. Work on projects I would like to work on. Write some books. Spend time with nature. Eliminate the vast majority of processed foods from my diet. There are so many parts to it. I just want my liberty back. You know that precious thing in human history that was the promise of the founding of our nation. I am not afraid of the end. I am afraid the end coming without having my liberty. I actually think that is the solution to many of our problems. For 150 years they have lured us into the cities to work in their factories and then sold out all our manufacturing to China and the like. I think the trend will be to move back to rural and regain our ability to take care of ourselves. Even environmentally this makes sense. If we are close to the food we need, less has to be transported. People in cites, more often than not, cannot keep chickens for example. We work but are dependents. Think about your bills. How much of what you earn are you actually able to keep? Personally, my rent is one of my bi-weekly paychecks. I just cannot bear it anymore. My children are grown. I am out. I have spent my life trying to be of service to my fellow man over money. I don't have that much. People would think I was crazy to leave my decent paying job. Well, we don't have much choice in how much time we have. But we DO have some choice in how we live. So, save save save people. It can help you later on at least make a 'change of venue' for yourself. Perhaps follow a dream.

I have quite a story or our family farm but the long and short of it is it’s getting extremely hard for the small family farm to exist. It just isn’t your world any longer. This is dangerous for humanity I’ve made a decision to return to simplistic healthy living for what is under my control. We rent the land out now however I have sown my share of seeds and harvested many many bushels commercially. I’ve done it , lived it,so did my grandfather whom had the largest impression on me. I was lucky enough to be here and be able to do it.

I was told at 12 years old, "farming is a great existance, but that is all it is or ever will be. You'll never get rich but you'll enjoy every day regardless of the pain and strife."

At age 63, I bought a five-acre piece of land that was an abandoned farmstead that hadn't been plowed in over 65 years. This year will be the first summer that I will be re-establishing this farm. I am the first person in three generations to operate a farm in my family. My only regret is that I haven't done this sooner in my life.

@play-doughsrepublic512127 күн бұрын
@@JuicedJackson - Hi Jackson - I didn't get much farming done this year because I was focused on getting my cabin ready to be lived in. However, I have tillers ready to go next year. Try gardening in your back yard first. Because you're 15, you will not be able to sign a contract, but if you can't buy your own small plot, you can rent one from someone else Many farmers or lot owners will offer their land to garden/farm on. Try beekeeping as well. It will give you a sense of animal husbandry is like. Many beekeeping organizations offer scholarships for young beekeepers to get involved. I've been a beekeeper for eight years and its a great way to move into farming (eventually). You can also contact your local 4-H club in your state, or other organizations. many deal with young farmers and want-a-be farmers and they can give you lots of ideas. The US Government can get you started as well. Let me know your progress - take care. www.farmers.gov/your-business/young-farmers

Ive lived in new orleans my whole life. Never even been on a farm. Last few years ive wanted to start my own farm just to grow my own crops and cattle not even to sell. The way this country has changed and the stuff they put in our food will actually kill. This has made me want to grow my own food and be more in touch with nature.

The local farmers markets are the only way you can survive in a small farm these days. To be successful, you have to eat it, drink it, sleep it and live it, seven days a week, all year long.

The one thing everyone wants to do as a fad, but not commit or apply the logic and hard lifestyle to do. Nothing good or fulfilling comes easy, or is giving to oneself. The fulfilment and rewards come from the logic passed on, the fulfilment of others receiving the bounty and harvest is joy for them. That is the silent joy of a true farmer.

I'm currently in the middle of building up a relationship with Jesus Christ and our Father and I thought becoming a farmer would really make me humble and appreciate what God has given to us. Are you guys by any chance looking for young guys who are willing to work the fields? I have no experience at all but i just want to learn and grow as a human being. I've always thought how cool it would be to be a farmer.

You seldom hear..........save your money if you want to be a farmer ! That being said.....yes save your money.......at a young age start early .....like at age 15..........save every cent you get your hands on ! Think about it.....by the time most people are age 25...they have already went through a million dollars ??? So.......where does the money go ? High schooler think then need a car / truck.......need to go out drinking.....dances/ partytime...and need a drivers license. Put all that aside and save your money ! It can be accomplished to be a farmer. Just most people dont have the logic to save money !

You didnt state your age ? But......... if you want to farm..........have you set aside every cent you get your hands on ? Is it party time each week end ? You need a 60,000 dollar truck to drive around the block ? You have 12 kids to support ? Farming is about the basics........saving money ! If you dont........cant ........or have not.....chances are slim you will ever be a farmer. Just saying....
