I am not using soundfont. I am using the Roland JV-1010 sound unit. You can get a cheap Roland Cloud account and get tremendous drum sounds and kits for $3.99 a month plus all the instruments. Link: www.rolandcloud.com/

I still have my original versions of Cakewalk SONAR installed. I don't really know what's going on with Bandlab at this time. They have made many changes. They are changing to a subscription based model which most people do not like. Try Roland Cloud which is quite cheap per month for all the sounds you will every need using Zenology. It's an amazing plugin and will give you all the Roland sound canvas sounds and much, much more for playing midi files. Check out my video covering the midi file - White Horse by Midi-Hits.com

In the VIEW menu you must open up the Lyrics page. This is where you save your lyrics. You can copy and paste them into this page. The Lyrics must have a melody track to follow. When you Save the file, the lyrics should be saved as well. If have a pro midi file with lyrics, open it up to see how this works and study how the words follow the melody track in the midi file. You will need a midi editor software like Cakewalk or even Reaper that be downloaded for free to do this. You can highlight the midi you don't want to use and delete it to make your file shorter in length. Email the file to me and tell me what you want done to it.

Let me explain. Cakewalk Pro Audio Ver 9 is no longer available. It's is long gone and out of date. I have used the program ever since it came out in the 1990's I believe and used it pretty much exclusively for tweaking midi for live performance. This great little program does everything you will ever need to adjust and control midi files. I recommend using a good quality sound module. I use Roland JV1010s that sound great and sound banks are all you will ever need. The reason I included the Bandlab links was to make it possible to still use Cakewalk to play midi files and software was offered free. The menus for midi pretty much the same. The main interface is revised and different.

@@EuropaMan well I have used Cakewalk way back in win98 days maybe even 95 Anyway I learned on CWPA and have 100s or 1000s of wrk files. Yes I use two general midi synths roland ms64 A Jv 1080 jd 990 a Roland s-760 I record these instruments via midi to build a mp3 files that use as backing tracks for busking with me on sax I’ll play any venue though. So I was looking up cakewalk help as I got a new hard drive for the sampler and I was wanting to use the Mac Pro to record the midi files synth sounds and the sync from the Mac to the windows doesn’t work. Cakewalk gets a dropout stop Mac computer doesn’t seem to like my midi patchbay MOTU XT. Anyway I was looking for information on CWPA 9 Gosh if it was just a sequencer without audio that would be great. I use the CAL program to move my drums out to separate tracks so the sampler would play part of the drums Mostly bass snare toms some cymbals but not ride that’s a two second sample and the general midi works fine on that Bass is also a nice sample on the sampler. Sorry I’m going on and on

The midi file must contain the lyrics in order to view them. This was a professional midi track.

You could try adding modulation to the track. Don't quantize the track too much. Are creating the track using a keyboard and playing it yourself?

We wrote and recorded it about 10 years ago but only recently put it out there on KZbin.

UNDER OPTIONS/KEY BINDINGS - This is where you set all your hotkeys. You can set a hotkey for Loop/Auto Shuffle. Make sure you check the 1st top box to loop. It only brings up the dialog box to set the perimeters of the loop but it's quicker.
