You have my condolences. These boys get hard-headed and won’t listen. If they would only believe the scripture: Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Honor thy father and mother which is the first commandment with promise that it may be well with thee and thou mayest live long on the earth. Kids are cutting their own lives short by being disobedient.

What kills me his mom keeps saying it was unfair to her if she would have got her fat butt up and went down there she would have known it was her son what mother sits around and watch the news and wondering if that was their son if they sign they answer the phone get off your butt and go see

How dare you? You have no idea how/what or even why this strong mother reacted the way she did. Every one handles loss differently. Maybe she didnt want the last physical memory of her Son out of all the amazing ones was to be one of him laid out dead on the street! Did that at all come across your ignorant little mind. Maybe because she knew his friend was down there and he told her they wasn't letting anybody through and she knew she had called her son. She would rather wait by the phone hoping that it's not true even though she said deep down she knew it was him. It's so sad that instead of humbling yourself to keep scrolling or not comment at all if you don't have anything positive to say instead, people get on the Internet to bash a mother for her reaction to her son be gunned down on the street. Maybe it was God who gave her the strength that she had that day not to crash out possibly had she went down there. Please humble yourself before you ever so quickly turned to words of hate. I really hope that you never have to experience the type of pain This woman is going through and if you ever do God forbid your child isnt on the news post uploaded to KZbin & no one comes in the comments, bashing your reaction as a father or mother, or even calling you a bad parent for not wanting to see your child stretched out in the street dead from gun violence that they see every day or every other day with young kids in that neighborhood or state. God bless you!

DR. Walter C. Cooper - Embued my son with such a passion for education. He has never forgotten you! In fact he won Rep.D Gantt's BHM essay contest writing about the incredible journey that is your life. You have made an impression wherever you have gone. Hallmark moments mark every year - thank you for your excellence. - I am a proud parent of the first graduating class of the Dr. Walter C. Cooper - School # 10

My condolences go out to this young man's family! Unfortunately, this type of situation happens far too often in our (African-American) communities. I often wonder what our Ancestors would think of us killing one another. Our elders had to battle the KKK & racist mobs and to know today that we're killing each other at exorbitant rates is seriously disturbing.

I knew Margey years ago, before she married, when I was Jude/ Judy Roland. She's a creative dynamo and so hilarious. Love her. I would like to get back in touch, but have long ago lost her email address. If she has a website or something where I could find a way to contact her (I am not on FB, but my new husband Keith Irwin is), I would love to re-establish correspondence with her. Margey - love your new work; good luck with all you do. Hope we can get back in touch!

I was in a movie that Ben filmed in Rochester a few years back. He produced a movie named "Fritz", Ben had great camera experience, filming and editing. But he seemed shy of self promotion, social media. I think the movie could have gone further if he changed promotion and marketing procedures.

We used to play this in the car on trips, it's a wonderful learning, memory etc game while often funny and always fun. My Pop would usually start it in the car while going on a trip. We would all love it as kids and even complain but ultimately tremendously enjoy the game. You'd have to win to be the one who got to be the "thinker" and went around the room until someone picked the Animal. Great fun!
