He is a shadow for the real King Jesus. David was a man after God’s own heart. He was a great king but even he knew there is one greater whose throne is forever. The real rock is the rock of ages Jesus Christ

First impression - someone clearly didn’t read the description of David in the Scriptures. He is described as “ruddy”, meaning like many Israelis, he was not dark but a redhead. That’s a pretty big detail to just get wrong in a bio pic.

This is the first Christian production that I feel has the same production quality as any other Hollywood action movie.

All of my relationships have been abusive. I grew up in a home with abuse. I married in my 30s. He wasn't physically abusive like the others, but he was emotionally & mentally abusive. I have been single since 2014. I dated someone i thought was the right person for over a year. He was not. I have been single since then. My finances are better than they ever were during my relationships. Am I lonely? Not really. Am I alone? No. I am by myself with God in my heart. I'm not so sure God intended everyone to have a mate. He knows our paths before we are ever conceived. This is my path & this is my story.

He sets up so many straw man arguments. It is pretty pathetic. Man clearly has will and chooses Christ. Can man do it apart from the Father drawing him like it says in John 6? Absolutely not. If the Father draws man does he always come to Christ? Absolutely 100% of the time. Jesus even told Nicodemus in John 3 man can’t even see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again. Paul says in Romans 3 no one does good or seeks after God. Laurie’s theology elevates man to be his own savior ultimately. God does all He can but in the end it is up to man. Someone who says they don’t share the gospel because they don’t want to give false assurance? That person isn’t a Calvinist. The Gospel is shared because we are commanded to and it is the means God uses to draw people to the Son. And make no mistake about it, Spurgeon was a Calvinist.

I've heard it said that Religion is reaching up to God by your works and deeds. Christianity is God reaching down to you through Jesus Christ regardless of your works and deeds and regardless of what you've done... They're actually opposites.

The British named the Palestinians after the Philistines, some things never change... This looks decent enough, I don't like the casting choice for David though, you know he was very handsome right...He was also Israeli, this guy doesn't look like an Israeli.
