Mainly 'Mud & Rutts' mode. HDC turned off (because it is annoying and not really needed if using low range 1st gear).

@@scotta.m6859 Thanks. And in the mud, which is better to use? And I understand that ABS cannot be completely disabled?
@scotta.m68592 жыл бұрын
@@vik_vnedorog Mud & Rutts is best in the mud as well. You can disable DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) which is only recommended to be done in Sand mode. I have not had trouble with ABS while doing difficult off-roading as it low speed.

Nothing wrong with nice set of waves, well done. How lucky are you to have an uncrowded local break, I'm taking my RD and heading down to Merimbula then making my way back slowly to the Gold Coast hopefully some uncrowded breaks along the way.

The LR3 is a very capable vehicle. As I have driven one at the Landrover driving school. The Disco 2 isn't bad, but the Patrol is the truck you would take into the most extreme conditions. Perhaps not the newest Patrol, but most any previous model is atleast a hair better than the G-Wagon and only a sliver below the Landcruiser.
@ebenswanepoel5475 Жыл бұрын
any patrol is definitely better than land cruisers offroad. especially better than the 79. patrols have the strongest drivelines that you can get. but i prefer a disco 2

Hey. The waveskis range from 7 foot 4 inches to around 8ft. Waveski size (length, width and volume) ultimately depends on the rider's weight, experience and height (as well as leg length).

How reliable is this LR3?
@scotta.m68593 жыл бұрын
This specific LR3? This one has been a bit of a nightmare. Having said that I still have it and have done a lot of kms in it and some big trips. It has never left me stranded in the middle of nowhere... though it has left me stranded in a carpark when the electric handbrake locked on!

@scotta.m68594 жыл бұрын
Lessons? Where are you getting them? I think it is easy to learn and get started fairly quickly catching waves compared to regular surfing. Helps if the conditions are easy. Also if you have paddled kayaks or similar before it is an advantage.

13:12 Most SUV/Off-Road vehicle owners are accused of never using their vehicle for what it was intended for!... could this be Why? 🤔
@Arjun-eb1yc4 жыл бұрын
It's certainly the reason why most people who like off roading don't do it in stuff like Range Rovers despite the fact that they are great off roaders. As for the rest most people have no interest in off roading. They like SUVs for high ride, large cargo, status etc.
