That is exactly why I sensed something so sinister and unnatural when Salo appeared all good-hearted and “redeemed” in 5th episode. Even being so petty and arrogant prior to treatment he was at least humane. Salo after meeting Victor wasn’t even alive, he was a marionette and it looked quite terrifying
