..i'd like that Maestro pair with Jos van Immerseel for this sonata, it does make perfect sense... still, it is a beautiful performance@

Andantino starts at 7:19 Very interesting and different tone colours from what I am used to, extremely clear and exciting.

Are you playing on gut strings because that looks and sounds like a modern violin?
@TheCreate784 жыл бұрын
Yes he does. Gut strings sound differently than steel strings though...

Those are gut strings indeed!

You do not let the music speak for itself! there are too many stops and over phrasings...the French overture part and its da capo are too uneasy going...it imposes to the listener that he should wait and wait to listen to the rest! as if someone has told you to make a very big romantic gesture from it. Where it is singing and dialog in right hand which jumps in discant and in bass...there you destroy the listener's joy of listening to the melody...sorry but someone must tell you these.

Stunning control and precision of this not often recorded masterpiece--by a wunderkind, Mr. Sato (and Mr. Mendelssohn)

..i am perplexed about Mendelson being a genius teenager, a Violin Concerto, Italian Symphony and still underrated, why... more that community support Mahler instead... why, crying..

I know this was a year and a half ago, but I really want to comment on the emotional expressiveness! I love your performance, and you are set apart from others who are technically excellent but don't connect as much emotionally. I learned this some years ago, but hadn't brought it up to performance level; I took it out again a few days ago, and this time am determined to complete it! But to love the entire process along the way also.
