This is a great trail in the Valley, perfect for beginners or anyone just visiting the area! We only tackled less than half of it this time, but we’ll see what the second (longer) half has in store on a future visit (maybe a bit more of a trek there!). Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

Probably a very old one, might have been hit by lightning
@WashWanderersАй бұрын
It does look really old, especially up close. I'm not sure what the (physical) effects of a lightning strike would cause a Saguaro. I've seen what it does to oak trees, but not cacti. Guess I need to do a little more research.
@tomsartain8071Ай бұрын
That could be a children’s book or a movie

I've lived in Arizona for 72 years , i love our state tree :). That one looks like it got hit by lightning, or it could be a mutation something like the crested Saguaro
@WashWanderersАй бұрын
Oh, we didn’t think to consider a lightning strike, but we did think perhaps a mutation. Good to know for future reference. And we love the state tree as well! 😁👍

I Have found a lot of these Labyrinths around Tucson. Was This The ! Near Brandi Fenton Park?
@WashWanderersАй бұрын
Actually the Labyrinth in this video was just off the Tucson Loop in Oro Valley area. It’s almost hidden from plain site. We just happened to see it while crossing a bridge while cycling the loop. It can be accessed from the Milonius K. Entwhistle's Rest/parking area, near an entrance onto the loop. I find the Labyrinths fascinating and hope there are more in the Tucson area and beyond to discover.

Thank you so much for taking the time to compliment our visit to Agua Caliente Park, it really means a lot to us. This park really is quite amazing, it's hard to believe its in the Tucson desert and so close to the Catalina Mountains. Unfortunately there aren't any electric scooters or golf cart tours (that we're aware of), there are however quite a few paved trails but not what we would consider good access for someone using a walker. Most of the paved trails circle back on themselves and some have adjoining sandy trails. The bridge to the island is easily accessible from the main paved path but once you cross the bridge it's all sand and palm trees with a couple of benches to sit on. There are quite a few picnic tables in the park to sit and enjoy some shade, watch and listen to the birds, ducks, turtles and fish. We hope you get the opportunity to visit. We're so glad you enjoyed our video, we hope you'll continue to enjoy our content.
