Technically you're supposed to push back the pads AFTER you prep the lever syringe. That way you don't get all that liquid pour out when you open the port.

Not even watching, have used this sander, even to polish epoxy, for two years worh no issues. Jist make aure you hook it up to vac system, the little dust collection bagdoesnt work great amd youll get swirls just like most sanders that arent hooked to a vac system.

I've had this sander for years! I've sanded hundreds upon hundreds of board feet. After thousands of hours, it still works great. The only negative is that the velcro pad is worn out, and online replacements are garbage. You pretty much have to buy a whole new one. But I've dropped this sander countless times. Once, I even broke off the handle. I had to epoxy it back together. But other than that, it's been a great sander. Night and day difference from the rigid 5-inch orbital sander. I would recommend this sander for your intermediate semi pro furniture maker.

I'm old enough to remember when Manitou was the rival to Rock Shox with Marzocchi and distant third... Until the Bomber which changed everything. I was out of the whole mtb scene for awhile but was kinda surprised that Manitou was a shadow of the dominant competitor it once was. But now it weird because everything they make seems to get extremely good reviews yet they have zero oem market share. The tech they use seems superior. Looked to have been using shim stacks while the big guys were still using port orifice, dinosaur valving. At half off, it's hard to not go for it. My size are out of stock.

The other SDG bel airs are their rails the same lengths do you know? Im on my 4th saddle now wtb was my last 1 ride and it was off solid absolutely solid thing on the sit bones!

What's the difference in the fox 36 version D to fox 36 version F? And would the 36 fit the 38 like the volume spacers? Is the versions the short and long?

Is it just 'one' packet of float fluid and slick oleum in the specified areas for this rear shock? Any other oils or lubricants needed? Thanks for clarification!
@aaronblonden6774
@aaronblonden6774 9 ай бұрын
Appreciate this as i ended up with this shock for my yt izzo if id like. I do really enjoy my sid on that bike. Considering swapping my status 140 frame to a stumpy evo and running this shock instead of the float x that would come on that. (I do enjoy the float x on the status) supposedly the bike's very linear and this shock sounds like a better match for the evo.

Thanks for the review. Have you had to do an air can re-set yet? If so, was it any harder than adding or removing volume spacers from a Fox or RS? I really appreciate my R7 Pro fork and would like to pair it with a Mara.

Manitou suspension just works, easy to tune, rebuilt, great tech support that even explains over the phone how to change shim stack if you like to tinker etc…. RS and FOX in reality should cost way less, but all that advertisement cost needs to be paid for by YOU…

Dumb questio, but what did you mean by "cycling" the shock at the end
@AndrewScheier
@AndrewScheier Жыл бұрын
Compress the shock a couple times. Make sure it works. Also as you add air pressure cycle it to charge the negative chamber every 50 psi

Most bike companies have a chart recommending the size of bike base on your height. If you’re like me I’m between sizes (med/large) with most brands. I tend to size up because I want more of a stable bike at speed. Thus a longer reach. I’m 5’11” and prefer a reach around 475mm.
@mircea5013
@mircea5013 Жыл бұрын
@@AndrewScheier Thanks for the reply! But this is where it gets confusing! Yes, I am between sizes like yourself (5 ft 11), and if I go by manufacturer's recommendations, I am offered a reach of 435 (Canyon Grand Canyon 9), 425 (Cube Reaction Pro) etc. This is nowhere near 475. or 450/460 I saw some other people on youtube recommending me. Yet I do feel you guys are right, because I did sit on some of the smaller recommended bikes and I never felt right while on them! I look like a clown on a small bike, with my longer than average legs. I am also unexperienced regarding MTB fit, as I only had a bike when I was a kid and that's it. See, it's a struggle...

I have heard good things about the mara. Thinking about a mara or dvo. I have a RS super deluxe and it is nice, but it blows through its travel a little too easily I have the max volume spacers on it. When I up the pressure i lose small bump sensitivity. I am wondering if a Meg neg can would help. It is on a GG shred dogg. I love videos that get into the nitty gritty. Nice job.

I've watched a few videos on this subject, including the 'Joy of Bike' one. I wish I was aware of it all before buying my bike, based on rider height, just a number of months ago. I've been getting that niggling pain in the lower back-of-the-neck area, due to a low stack and slightly long reach. It'll really suck that I'll have to sacrifice a good grand or so, on a bike that's still new; and that's if it even manages to sell, but at least I'll know for the future. It's unforutnate that Bike fits weren't available at the time due to COVID restrictions. Thanks for sharing another perspective on RAD.

What did you look at to see if you needed to add the spacers?
@AndrewScheier
@AndrewScheier Жыл бұрын
The chain line. You don’t want it rubbing in the gear combinations The chain should be in the middle of the guide when in the middle of the cassette. With that said the new version you don’t need spacers. The guide adjusts on a post to achieve the same thing. Much easier.

Welcome to the Manitou master race. Fox shocks don't have consistent compression - on slow hits they feel like a pogo stick, but on fast hits the compression spikes and it feels harsh. Manitou feels like a shock should feel. Smooth and consistent. I have a Mara Pro on my Pivot and some Mcloed and Mara inline on some other bikes. So nice. These Fox users just have no idea.

looks like a tank removal job, unlike the add saying "* Easy Installation, No Tank Removal" on amazon. That white post look like the critical part that is the heart of the thing! has to be removed!-the power flush seems underpowered. I am guessing that blue dial can fix this. mellow yellow would require my plumber's service. because my old pipes get clogged dalot. he told me to get a "turbo" flush. in the first place. my house is a 1970 and the pipes likely are 1940!-concerning the city.

Hi, thank you for the review. Just to note, the saw needs 4” (100mm) dust collection tubing to a powerful Cfm suction unit. The loss of air velocity by reducing down to 3” duct is massive. Also the tubing needs to have the smoothest internals as possible, ridge type tube really reduces the collectors performance. Keep your reviews coming. 😊
