I fade my own hair and couldn't get the line to fade but I replaced the blade and it does bro. And yes 0 gapping will work

No it is not necessary. Zero gap helps with the closeness of the cut.

Just wash it with normal shampoo after. You can do an acv rinse before getting a retwist so you dont have to worry ab them getting loose.

You might have to re try the steps of the cutting is blade protrudes over the guard it will cut your client when fully closed. Make sure the lever is all the way closed when you do this

Try washing your locs more often and use different types of oils. I also have a very dry scalp and those things worked for me.

You can buy them off of Amazon for a decent price. I would recommend the Oster Fast Feed if you're just starting out. For line-up clippers I would recommend anything from the company Andis.
