omfg, this is INSANE! I watched this movie last night for the first time, for the last couple of days I've been talking again with someone really special to me, the kind that puts you in the perfect mood to watch a movie like this. So, I watch the movie, I absolutely adore it (as I've adored everything I've seen from linklater), plus it did what I was hoping for, that is to effervesce this really loving mood I was in. I wake up today still riding this high, and decide to make a playlist with all the songs that I knew made me feel all these things the movie did. The first two tracks I chose? Spring 0 and Spring 1 from Max Richter's recomposed Vivaldi. And I don't even know If there's any kind of conection between movie and song, I first heard of this track from the Charli XCX podcast with Christine and the Queens, where the latter one shares Spring 1 as "the best song to fall in love to", and I don't think anyone could disagree with her. I've been obsessed with it since, I kept listening to it and fantasising this romantic scenes, not unlike any scene from before sunrise. The thing about fantasy and daydreaming tho, Is that is kind of an addiction of mine, even since little, I could spend hours laying in bed imagining entire stories and scenes, to the point that I could say that I've spent more time of my childhood inside of my head than actually living out experiences and forming bonds. This until I move to the other side of the country, the first year or two were very lonely, but then, I meet the previously mentioned special person, and even when I first took notice of her, well, It felt like the first 15 seconds of this song, and the feeling hasn't wore down since, not in the slightest. Anyway, so, daydreaming is kind of a big deal to me as a concept, so of course the movie's poem had a powerful impact in me and I've been reciting it in my head the entire day, so I though why not google it to check out what comes up, and first result, here. I just love the sinchronicity so so much, that some else, somewhere in the world, two whole years ago, thought of putting together the same song and movie as I did without any kind of conection or correlation, it means the world to me. thanks! <3
