If government wants more money, increase the premium bond holdings and offer more high value prizes😂. Many people will still park their money for a chance to win big. I have open a currency account because of all this uncertainty.

A lot of banks and uk regulators made it difficult to buy crypto but if they just let people be stupid with their money then a lot of people who are not very good with finances would be doing great. Sensible people will always be ok and often need to bail out those who are not. Crypto could have broken this doom loop

Next time you have John on can you please ask him about KEFI. I am seeing some excitement about project launch but a brief glance at RNS shows a familiar pattern. Is this time actually different in his opinion? RNS 29 July: "Final approvals from AFC are expected in the next month or so... " RNS 20 Aug: "... second co-lender may proceed with its final credit approval during the next month..." RNS 18 Sep: "We remain on track for entering into definitive commitments from the funding syndicate next month ..."

The market is a lot harder now due to interest rates. There’s been over 10 years of near zero interest rates. That’s never happened before and will probably never happen again in our lifetime. They will get reduced but not that low. This means blue sky story stocks not generating cash will struggle. The market is hopefully going to normalise and good businesses will get rewarded.

I'm enjoying my time in the Investment Club, I've learned so much already and that learning has made a positive difference to my overall investments. For one, I now have a strategy and build my portfolio based upon that. Secondly I ensure I minimise the downside with stop losses. And thirdly I am learning to run my winners and not bail out too quickly.
