Honestly, for the price, just get a regular boat. This mini boat is slower and smaller than it's competitors at the same price. Make it 10k less and it's reasonable.
@Minijetinc4 күн бұрын
If all you're after is a day putting around on the water there certainly are other cheaper alternatives on the market. BUT - if you’re after the superior versatility and durability of a jet boat the Minijet CUB is the most affordable option in the market by a long shot!

Why is the bilge shooting water out at the start? Is it normal to have water intrusion on these?
@Minijetinc26 күн бұрын
It's not the bilge outlet, it is the engine cooling tell tale. Whenever the engine is running this tell tale shows that the cooling system is functioning (not blocked by sand, weeds etc. when running skinny water)

So when do you find floating g leaf debris below the water line? I would like to see this test done without bias. Known volume of water Known weight of sand Pressure drop etc etc.
@Minijetinc5 ай бұрын
leaves floating on the surface of the water can easily be picked up by your jet drive when your boat is on plane - It's something we see quite often, especially when boating late in the season. Our primary goal with these tests was to show the failure modes of these 3 traps when full (bypassing the sediment vs slowing / stopping water flow) and allowing you to choose which you think works best for your application!
@cusco45085 ай бұрын
What a non specific and biased test. There are minimum velocity required for centrifugal separators to work along with the clear fact that the minijet filter test had far less media in the water. The simple fact that the filter area of the minijet unit being smaller as well as it having a very fine mesh screen means that a decrease in flow and volume will occur much earlier and with far more detriment. How about you do the test properly.
@Minijetinc5 ай бұрын
We have found that cooling systems of PWC powered boats range in pressure through their operating windows, and want to ensure that even when you start up on a sandy bank with minimal pressure you still get enough filtration to extract debris. While the screen in our filters can produce a drop in pressure when obstructed by debris, we'd prefer to see this obstruction in a serviceable filter rather then in the cooling galleries of an engine or heat exchanger. Our goal was to show the different failure modes of the 3 filters when full (bypassing debris into your engine vs stopping water flow) - we'd prefer to see a loss in water pressure and clean our filter, but for those who prefer an un-restricted filter at the risk of overflowing debris when full - we are still happy to offer the other 2 filters for sale!
@munchra485 ай бұрын
I have never seen a more biased test performed. It's obvious in the product you're peddling that you are not even pushing through the same amount of sand as with the previous two products. Pretty deceitful tactic from Minijet. Let's not overlook the fact you're essentially using an irrigation filter.
@Minijetinc5 ай бұрын
Same bucket, same water, same sand in each of the 3 tests.
@jizzstain5 ай бұрын
He obviously used less sand on the third test
@Minijetinc5 ай бұрын
Our goal was primarily to show the failure mechanisms of the 3 traps (bypassing sand into your engine vs stopping water flow when full) - not necessarily their sand capacity!

A lot of people who understand the SSS design leave the dump valve 1/4 open so it never fills up with debris. The pressure generated from the jet when running spins the water a lot quicker which in returns sends the debris out quicker.
@Minijetinc5 ай бұрын
Yep! You could leave the drain valve open on all three designs for the same effect. We have found some motor/pump combinations do not have enough spare capacity to do this in the PWC world so it needs to be carefully monitored in these situations.
