I do feel like people like this rarely ever play platformers, because some of these deaths are just... It's just a little silly. And then they blame it on the game design instead of their own poor movement, even when the solution (or what they're supposed to do) is actually very obvious. I dunno. I just find it silly.

28:35 Just for anyone who might be struggling on this level: it actually is pretty easy (unless you expect to finish it by just running like crazy, which is a mistake many people often commit). Just pay attention to the lightning bolts. Once a small one appears, the larger one will follow immediately after that AND (most importantly) in the exact same spot. That's the pattern. Once I realized about that, completing the level was a breeze, I swear.

I played through all 3 games within a relatively short time span and I didn’t think DKC3 really had much of a drop of quality compared to the other 2 games. Overall, I liked all 3 quite a bit (I even completed 2 and 3 cuz I liked them enough). So in contrast, seeing people like Vinny clearly dislike a lot more about 3 than the other 2 games is strange. I don’t remember his playthroughs for the first 2 that much, but I definitely don’t recall him getting so frustrated. It just feels unfortunate that the game didn’t click with him very well with him, rather a lot of it just seemed to be him tolerating the game to get it over with. At least it’s fun to watch his reactions to a lot of these deaths though, many of those noises don’t even sound human.

I don’t think I’ve ever died on the first boss, unless intentionally just to see what happens. 😂

Lightning Lookout isn't THAT bad. There's always a tell where the bolt will strike, meaning you have a chance to avoid it. Vinny ploughs through that and a lot of the case of him trying to rush through the situation (though the water area is the only place you have to rush)

Vinny letting go of barrels when they were ABOUT to cover him up from lightning in most of the deaths. 28:16 yes Vinny it is perfectly reasonable and cool and good game desing.
