TYSM for my mikey sano cos i decided to get a long but cheap wig and then i was gonna make wefts to add in with the extra length,, it'll be hard but if it's not hard then it's not worth doing !! 👍👍

Definitely going to try this for my cosplay I think. It should be way cheaper than going the whole learning-how-to-use-resin route. Honestly, as a newbie, I cannot possibly say enough how videos like this help me. Bless all the more experienced cosplayers and crafters who post tutorials or videos where they make their cosplays and explain the process. You make beginning to cosplay really easier and much more enjoyable. I'm a bit sad that the glue you used seem unavailable in my country, but I should be able to work it out by speaking with a seller... I guess ;-;. Time for some trials and errors I guess! Can you use hot glue?

To glue the backing on? Not really. Hot glue won't stick well to a shiny surface, will leave a noticeable bulge, and doesn't dry clear so will ruin the illusion you get from the mirror backing.

@@leoxgamer1342 No worries. There's lots of different types of super glue so results definitely vary but you'll learn how each one reacts as you go!

So helpful thank you! I’m planning on making a super long wig for an Entrapta cosplay. Most likely going to use yarn and iron it out so I can get the length. It’ll be a big project but a fun one.

If u use heat on the tape like with a heat gun when removing the tape, it will remove more easily

It can shed a little more than normal wigs do unfortunately, but I used this method for my whole Valeera ponytail and even after a couple brush outs/wears it isn't noticeable.

I love how close your camera is to the hair. Is there away I can just do a very long weft so I can turn them into hair extensions or wigs but i need a long tape for that? And where can I find a good sewing machine but not so expensive? Please make more video xoxo

Hi, thanks! You can make wefts in any length and width in this way, just use a longer piece of tape. I did some that were around 30cm wide recently for a very long ponytail, check out my Facebook for photos. They do start to get harder to manage at that sort of width though. My sewing machine is as old as I am, but check out your local sewing shops (Spotlight in Aus, Joann's in the US etc), you can get a basic model pretty cheap if you wait for sales.

You wefts turned out SO much better than mine when I did them for flora. Any chance you would load this video to your Facebook page? I would love to share it in February (Facebook doesn’t seem to like sharing KZbin videos :p)

Thanks! I was so nervous trying it at first but the result was pretty easy to use. I'll give uploading it a shot. I haven't had much luck uploading straight to Facebook but its worth a try. The written version is on Deviantart too.
