I still remember Agostini racing this bike in Francorchamps.

Will never forget the sound of Ago’s MV going down Bray in the early 70’s (in the Isle of Man). I lived 10 mins away from the first corner! You could hear it coming from the grandstand!

True gentleman,met him @ 2nd Barber Festival,get in way ? normally up front.Some yrs ago his 350 failed to fire,jumped on the 250 & still won ahead of a TZ 350 thro' some seriously skilled riding, frustrating the competition taking back markers leaving the TZ stuck behind for a few seconds...... Experience @ work.

To get 120mph out of one, you needed a very light rider and a very long stretch of road. A brilliant bike, but please, let's put it into context, around 15 seconds over the 1/4 mile, a 2017 Toyota Camry will do it in 16. I did 17 on a 1969 Yamaha 125 trail bike. A legend, yes, 70 years ago. I'm looking forward to watching the docco, Phil Irving is a hero of mine.
