It is above my understanding when very old games like Unreal or Half-Life are just as demanding as Batman or Walking Dead. Maybe DirectX earlier than DX9 is translated very slowly? good video!

Thanks! And yes, those old games just lack some moderm optimizations introduced by newer APIs. They still run fast, but could run even faster if ported to moderm engines. Also, these old Intel iGPUs behave weirdly sometimes, they just don't like MSAA, transparency and VSync on some games.

That was super cool. I totally forgot how scary this game was, and how good the acting was for the time! Maybe there's room to push to 900p? I love these old Sandy/Ivy iGPUs.

Thanks man! This game is really scary and above all, unsettling... Truly one of a kind. Straightjacket monster a.k.a. Lying Figure is one of my all-time faves for some reason lol. Yes, I also think there's really room for 900p-1080p/30 and even 720p/60. We'd probably have to sacrifice some shadow and fog quality but we can get there! Nice idea for a future video, thanks again!

Oh yeah, back when FPS were a punch to the face! Fast, brutal, no regenerating health while taking cover (like in modern shooter games these days), no reloading, searching for health items and other power-ups, gore, guts and blood! I miss these kind of games so much... Well played mate! Keep goin'!👍
