My caravan set up = 2 x 170 amp/hour lithium 12volt batteries in parallel giving me 340 amp/hours they are about 10 years old. 7 x 200 watt solar panels divided into 4 and 3 to go through 2 Renogy separate solar controllers. Panels average about 6 years old. Inverter Lvyuan very important 3000 watt easy start pure sine wave .All wiring pure copper not copper clad aluminum. I power an upright freezer. medium fridge freezer, microwave 1.6 kw Devanti window aircon daytime only ,water pump ,kettle ,toaster lights, computer, clock , electric blanket all night ,fan if i need it. ALL ON 240 VOLTS but not all at once. i will be replacing batteries in the near future so i can run the aircon at night .Would not run aircon without "easy start "inverter

I am correct in that a 10Kw Fronius Gen24 Primo (single phase) that only 3KW is available on outage. Why not 10Kw?
@springers13 күн бұрын
@@davidgalea430 3kW is available when using PV point (without batteries). With batteries, and the use of an external contactor, the output is dependent on the size of the battery bank and can be up to 10kW.

Hi. Can't find the Cable Cover installed directly under the SH15T inverter. Is it a custom made cover or a buyable Sungrow accessory? thanks
@springers17 күн бұрын
The cable cover is included with your inverter upon purchase ☺

Thanks for the app demo. With the Powerwall 3 having an inverter in it, do you know if it's possible within the app to see what individual panels (or for that matter panel strings) are producing? Or perhaps more importantly 'not producing' perhaps due to soiling etc.
@springers19 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching - Powerwall 3 doesn't offer panel-level monitoring unfortunately, so the short answer to your question is no. You'll only be able to view overall production and consumption in the Tesla App.

Just looking at the Victron Solar Controller and noticed the grounding screw attached to the heatsink is not connected. I bought the same controller from you guys, and was wondering if that needed to be connected? What happens if you don’t?

What I don't understand is how is the peak demand measured? It is over a time period? So, say a 15kw startup surge from a large AC unit won't cause a 15kw demand charge? I am really struggling to understand the 60 minute average for the demand charge for the month :/

If I have solar panels but did not buy the battery power wall can I still use the Tesla app? I bought the panels in 2017 from Solar City & they were bought out by Tesla. I’ve never had an app. Please let me know thank you for your video!

How do I connect this to my ecoflow power station?
@springersАй бұрын
Hi, you would connect via the Solar Input Anderson connection if the ecoflow has one. Keep in mind these are high voltage panels so make sure your ecoflow has a high enough solar input to handle them.

Crossing over the main battery cable is a huge fail, if those cables ever rub through the insulation you have instant fire.

Could you do the same thing with a Victron System?
@RayJohnson19802 ай бұрын
ok why did they not get more solar with the extra space? and why not have a battery install?
@springers2 ай бұрын
This system was designed to meet their energy requirements and budget. 30kW more than covers their daily load and batteries aren't necessary for this office - all their electricity usage occurs during the day.

hey mate very informative video.. loved it.. in the process of learning more..with the Solar being self consumed and not reflected on the bill.. would this be the case with a 5kw inverter system as well with no battery? cheers mate, top tier content
@springers2 ай бұрын
Cheers, appreciate the feedback. The size of the inverter will not affect the self-consumption. The larger the system the more chance that there will be energy exported to the grid but we have 100kW solar systems with 100% self-consumption out there so its really site dependant on how much energy is consumed.

How safe are these Lithium batteries though? Do many of these big batteries fail and start fires like some of these other lithium battery accidents? Also, how much did that system cost?

I automatically switched to a demand plan (post-smart meter install) and got my first bill after the switch, and it has skyrocketed. Demand was 107 of the total 164kw. My actual usage between 5 pm and 9 pm is minimal, not remotely close to 65% of my total usage. Thanks for your explanation. It seems that one day of high demand in that period has impacted all 28 days of the bill! So I am charged for a theoretical use, not an actual one. Note no solar, no gas, no battery. Just electricity for everything. Looks I have a plan switch coming.
