SPOILERS FOR THE TRUE PACIFIST ROUTE: After this review, I get now that Ceroba's place in True Pacifist could def be seen as overbearingly heavy and stupid in equal parts. Like Alphys in OG Undertale. That being said, I still can't help believing that she's the best written character in Undertale Yellow. Ceroba's rich in imperfect personality, complex in her sense of morality, devoted to her loved ones, and her change of heart in the end has, just, so much weight. I'm- not quite sure how to do Ceroba's story justice through description alone; she's _too_ real. Too genuine. Too human (in the figurative sense) compared to everybody else, but that's what I appreciate the most. I also believe it feels natural for the story to revolve around her by the end- it was leading up to this, with Martlet being Chujin's apprentice, Star being her best friend, and Axis being Chujin's creation. Everyone's connected to the Ketuskanes, akin to how Flowey/Asriel ends up being the final boss of OG Undertale Pacifist (and Asgore in Neutral), as every major character's connected to the Dreemurr family. And lastly, Clover lasting through her whole final fight was to knock some sense into her- it was the right thing to do- and them giving their SOUL afterwards was only done after seeing she could learn to live again. Only then could they make this act of sacrifice without regrets. Not to mention how much animation she possesses, how beautiful her fights are, her songs, how many text box sprites she displays- there's so much unbridled and beautiful and tragic emotion radiating from this person who truly feels as though she has nothing left to lose. It's inspiring.

Honestly I'm sad the whole competitive puzzle genre is kinda died outside of Tetris and maybe Puyo Puyo and that's only because it collab'ed with Tetris. While this is not my absolute favorite competitive puzzler ever (that would be either Puzzle Bobble 4/Arcade ver. of Super Puzzle Bobble with Chain Reaction turned on, or Land Maker which is yet another less known puzzler where you make buildings), it is quite fun overall.

Thanks for this awesome video! I’ve only played Pokémon puzzle league but I’ve always adored this style puzzle game. I really wanna play panel de pon now! The aesthetics are so gorgeous. The thing I like most about the game is how it can be either really easy, slow, and meditative, or it’s just a friggen fight. The mechanic of pausing block moment when you make chains mixing with the feeling of your own adrenaline makes this a puzzle game that will literally keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s not just a puzzle. It’s a fight. Liked and subscribed!

Panel De Pon is absolutely the greatest puzzle game of all time. I don't really play video games anymore as an adult, but Panel De Pon and Super Famicom Wars are the two reasons I still own a SNES and a CRT.

It would be neat to see Nintendo bring Panel De Pon back, fairy cast and all. Not a lot of people know about this series, but from what I’ve seen, those who do know about the series really enjoy it. Heck, even Smash Bros. Creator Masahiro Sakurai loves Panel de Pon, and even based one of his games off of it! I don’t think Nintendo needs to be worried about what people think about the fairies either, especially since anime is more mainstream and much more widely accepted nowadays. And I think that between Nintendo bringing the original SFC game to Nintendo Switch Online in ALL regions when in the past, re-releases of that game would be relegated to Japan-only, as well as the fact that as of late, Nintendo has been creating new installments for some of their old or forgotten IPs (to my knowledge at least), there could be a chance for this series to return. A small-maybe-minuscule chance, but still a chance nonetheless.

But I do agree 100% with the point of this video, PDP64 only released on GameCube is the very best puzzle game ever made. If not that then it's the best direct competitive puzzle game, it knocks the socks off super puzzle fighter.

Bro... Did you even play Panel on N64? Nobody plays it with the analog stick, you use the D-Pad, the N64 controller has the same D-Pad as the SNES. The N64 pad is perfectly suited to PDP.

26:55 I know I’m late on this but in the ending of the pacifist route, when somebody calls for help, I think this is Frisk calling for help during the Omega Flowey battle where Flowey tells Frisk to call for help right before Flowey tries to kill Frisk, just human souls to turn and attack flowey

Am I wrong for enjoying the genocide final martlet fight? I found it very challenging but overall very sight readable, it was also challenging but not excruciatingly painful to play letting me beat it in around 2 days, and overall I enjoyed the challenge and the mix up from the generic "Sans like fight" in most fangames. (also the soundtrack made the bossfight 100x times better to play)

One thing I do like about the final geno boss is how different it feels to sans Instead of undertale where it’s just two people trying to hit eachother, yellow feels more like you’re both beating the fuck out of eachother and anyone could collapse at any second

god do I wish I had the endure command. I downloaded the game about 0 minutes after it released, so I played the whole game on 1.0 (fuck that stupid cactus mf he cost multiple hours of pain) and I had to somehow maintain healing items into phase two. also silver bullets are goated in that fight
