That’s an awesome looking xj my friend, well taken care and it’s nice to see somebody else taking care of their xj. I have a 99 myself and love it!!

It's not my first XJ, but this one will be passed on to my daughter. I help my son find a perfect 1998 XJ Sport, lifted with everything under it replaced. Including a slip yoke eliminator. His had a 4 inch lift with all new suspension. And had these rims but a different tire on it. He gave me the tires and rims, and I made them fit my XJ. Without a lift!

Appreciate all suggestions, and I'll keep that in mind. Right now, it has 191k miles and still runs good. My dad taught me that if it isn't broken, don't fix it! So I will hold out on that because I'm old and have a limited amount of money. I love these XJs myself it's like my third or fourth one. My first one was a 1988 3 door XJ Sport. This one is a 1998 CJ Classic that came with positive track rear-end and the sun roof! My favorite!

looks good, what kind of wheels are you running on it

My rims are Pro Comp offset 10x15. The tires are Cooper Evolution M/T, 33x12.5x15s. Most have told me I could never run that big of a tire on a stock suspension. They don't know how much body was cut away to make them fit!

Ya life everlasting brother. Jesus said, "Two will rest on a bed: the one will die, and the other will live." Body goes to the dirt, we all gonna be rocking forever.

Well I know the Ozarks are getting strip logged by segments of 640 acres per... They just leave the crappy wood behind, and leave everything to erosion. It's just greed winning.

Definitely an architectural piece. I wonder if an old Sears and roebuck catalog would be of help deciphering some of this stuff. I think that it may be a cast iron stepping stone, and that 3 more pieces would make a circle and that it goes in the lawn.

A headless carcass? Crosses? Looks ritualistic to me. Who knows what else they’re doing in their neck of the woods. Be safe old man.

Didn't know that you had another channel. My guess is a Lefaucheux 1854 pin fire , that bulge on the left side could be the cylinder dropped out of it. I do have doubts on my assumption however. Cheer's.
@poppopwr28252 жыл бұрын
I had the same guess on the cylinder out and not locked into place. I love it when others see what I see, and comment.

Was there a derringer under that name because the handle seems to be a small gun? I'm sure a revolver no less today.
@HaventHeard3072 жыл бұрын
@@poppopwr2825 it would have helped to see the inside of the front of the piece like you showed the inside of the back half, I don't believe that it is a derringer. However the cylinder on the gun I mentioned dose not fold out. I'm more than sure I could I.D. that with a little more of a view, I almost thought that it may be a S&W No. 1

@@HaventHeard307 Listen it's late tonight but I'll do a good close up video of both parts. The mass where I thing the trigger is extending forward I can not explain for any derringer as well, I have hunted. I will get back with a video and thanks for helping!

Hey brother those are some cool finds and the derringer is awesome. My guess the gun dates 1870-1880. I do not believe they were available during the CW. My thoughts….

Slow this week because my Jeep had a battery problem. I had to cash in 5 horse shoes, a whistle, the Model A hand crank, hitch pin, 7 assorted nails and screws, 2 partial horse shoes, 45 tons of raw iron ore, and both chains that I have found for a 25% discount on a $200.00 battery. PopPop is moving on up!
