How is it not a lot of cleanup when you have to wash out a container each time and sterilise it every few days and also wipe baby’s bottom…. It’s kinda the same at least or more work than a diaper and wipes…. But as for the early potty training, this seems good I guess

Kinda more difficult when u hhave boys with little wangs that either stick up or get dangerously close to the front edge of the potty. Maybe I need to get a bigger one. But sitting him like how you did with the top hat probably wouldn't work since you can't really see from behind if his wang is pointing down or in the bowl at all. Our sinks are bowls that come up out of the counter so we don't have a counter big enough for the potty to sit on top. Right now our potty is in the bathroom on the floor, so we tried the baby potty training at first, but I didnot have the strength to hold him with my arms extended like that and his being fussy and unstable. Had to wait till he was old enough to understand what was going on. Now I have 2 and it's even harder, but I will try to remain consistent even though it will be a ton of work. My youngest one is now 9 months so at least he can sit up on his own.

It makes sense. Why train then to poop in a diaper then you’ll have to untrain them

I haven't got an own child, and wonder how you know when you need to go to the pot with a baby. To go with it to the pot every time it has the need to pee and poop only works if you know when ^^"

Is no one wants to spend the 30$ go to dollar tree, buy a trash can, cut the bottom out, buy two clips and you have a spray mate that you just place in the toilet to spray off the poop, then you can buy a tray or pan to go underneath & place a towel to place the trash can onto beside the toilet while it drys !!! (((:

We TRIED😅 He said he could not do it 😭.. He did that with us, he WOULDN'T HAVE done that with his sister's or brothers😅😭.. They're throwing you on the toilet.. Real Nurse Karen's from hell.. They know who to pull that mess with nd who not to😅

question: if baby has already begun pooping in diaper,, is it best to let him finish in the diaper or to strip him to let him finish in the toilet?

I'm childless and I'm indian. This was a huge thing amongst my ancestors and is prolly still a thing among rural ppl. But diapers are becoming so prevalent nowadays that moms have switched to the traditional way of potty training and I read a lot about cases like withholding, refusing to use the bathroom, etc. I personally had probelms, I used to withhold and it was an awful experience. When I have kids , I'm gonna practice this from day one. I don't want them to fo through what i went through. This technique is a godsend for real !!

One more great idea I am definitely intending to use, as I want to use washable diapers. These techniques will reduce the time I spend cleaning and washing. Yay !

Ridiculous.., babies can not walk or control body function.., Don't brain wash yourself or other people. Until the can walk upright and communicate..they are babies. If you wanted a toilet 🚽 trained child.. You should have adopted.!

What was the schedule? How often?

I did this with my 1st born in 2006. Cloth diapers were getting popular then. It worked great. After a while his cloth diapers were mostly used for pees. I strongly recommend. He was diaper free fairly quickly.

Elimination communication is not "potty training" a baby. It is recognizing their signals and natural ways of communicating to us when they need to pee or poop. For that reason, it's called communication. It's about to be in tuned with the baby so one can offer a potty when it is appropriate and not let them do it in the diaper.

Thank you for this video. This the way it is done in my country Togo in West Africa. Somehow I got too lazy to do with my son here in the USA when I gave birth. My son is now 2 and I am still here wandering when I should start potty training. Thank you so much for sharing your experience . I need to get out of my laziness behavior.

They are not cognitively aware of those senses until 1 1/2-2 years of age. You, are simply watching their digestions cycle. Why rush it? Let the baby be a baby.

I trained my baby girl with Down Syndrome from shortly after birth. My mother told me it works so I tried it. After each feed I held her over a potty and encouraged her to do it, as in video. I rarely had a dirty nappy. She was totally toilet trained both ways by 2.5 years old.

Yes in my family, we say if the baby can sit he can sit on the toilet or on the potty but only one baby in the family used the potty earlier than average. He used it when he was seven months old, and he also pooped in it, but he was the only one so it’s very different by every baby.

how many hrs. is the interval if u do this method? like every after 2 or 3 hrs.?? also how u know if she wants to pee or poo???

So my sister-in-law mentioned doing something similar they started my niece pretty early not from infancy they did diapers for a little while. So this is really interesting to me and I absolutely love it. To reduce waste, save money and actually do this in a much natural way is so awesome

I feel like this video is good for babysitters as well as moms! As long as the parents are okay with it, the babysitter could help potty train the little ones using this method!

I'm amazed children can potty train so early; especially knowing how many teachers have 4-5 year olds that are not.

Let me first say, don't ever Apologize for how you want to raise your child. Don't let anyone tell you how to raise your child, that's up to you. Any good parent feels like a failure at times but nobody else can tell you what to do. Unless you're asking for advice or reaching out for help, it doesn't matter if another person agrees with what you're doing with your child. Every child is different and what's good for one might not be for another, which is ok, there's no perfect parenting style.
