How do you get it to not stick to the foam brush as much? I feel like that is my biggest hangup. I'll get it just how I want but want to compress it just a lil more and the fukers just pull up with the foam brush ruining my efforts and my heart breaks...wait nevermind just got to where you said keep brush wet. Wet with resin, I'd imagine?

I have of maybe 10 or 12 Ktm rc8s in Colombia, the only white one in fact, and was dreamlng on having the newer Ktm tech on it as here we dont have stations, mostly good weather but with rain seasons and we dont have racetracks either, so Mainly a road bike. You should upload those 300 hours of filming in some online archive or in a youtube playlist for people like me, that dont have much fabrication knowledge but want to do a proyect like this one can follow as a guide, god bless you and thanks for the quality content.

Great project. Do you already have a solution in mind for the headlight conversion? The canbus will miss the original SD headlight and give some errors on the dash. I havent been able to find a dongle to eliminate this isseu.
@JBellz13 күн бұрын
Yes, it’s quite easy. You have to wire in a resistor so that the RC8 headlight will register with the can bus system. I’ll be going over all the little odds and ends, and how we over come them when the time comes.

Cant wait to see this all come together. Awesome build. I do think it's worth doing the ram air as the air around the tank might be negative pressure/turbulent and not make great power/flow. You have the 3D scanner, just see what's possible.

How long did you have to wait for this exhaust and also do you think the back pressure box is needed or will it still gain power without it ?
@JBellzАй бұрын
I had the exhaust in 7 business days! I’ll be testing the muffler box on the Dyno, but I’m sure it’s only for noise. I believe the full system with no muffler box would make more power.

Nice conversion. I did a similar thing years ago with a Ducati 996. Swapped the engine for a 1198 one. Made a custom air box very similar to the way you have done it but did mine in fibreblass. Fabricated the exhaust etc. Enjoyed building it and was a blast to ride. I've subbed so I can see your final build completed and riden. 👍

i'm an engineer too. I'd love to work with you. I am an electrical and software engineer. My day job is designing automobile clusters and CAN bus computers. Also, 300 hours with lots of mistakes is OK in my book. I tune in more for the journey and less about the final result. The final result is important, yes, but I love seeing the challenges you run into and how you tackle them engineer to engineer this is what is cool for me. Keep up the great work bro!
