If you have storage containers with lots of stuff in them, you should probably set up new storage containers (even if they’re temporary) and then conveyor belt the old storage to the new ones to empty them. This will prevent the dismantle crates with lots of stuff in it everywhere.

The world grid alignment is on the 4 cardinal directions - N, S, E, and W. If you rotate the mouse wheel when placing foundations, they will rotate to a 45 degree angle to that world grid.

I really wish that i had discovered the world grid much earlier on, it wouls have made things much easier, thanks for helping, I am taking this advice into account as i continue on.
