The other day you said something in Vikings stream/podcast which I wanna point out, helped me a bit may help some people learning how to drive on wheel. You said something along the lines of translating to wheel and pedals what you do on controller and that’s the most accurate simplification I’ve seen/heard. Wheel doesn’t have to be a different form of racing, just a different form of sending the inputs to the game. Nice pearl of wisdom my man thanks❤
@GrimmLegionGaming12 күн бұрын
@@aftrax79 absolutely, if you already have experience on controller and have pace. Find a way to replicate that on the wheel. 😎👍
@aftrax7912 күн бұрын
@ prior to you saying that I had been playing 50/50% of the time on controller and wheel just to sort some doubts and realised two things: A) you should reset your wheel whenever you feel slow or feel something off. Had that feeling since I’ve started playing Forza but I’ve now understood that from time to time my acceleration on pedals has something wrong and turning feels a bit off. I get differences of 20/30 km/h faster (up to 6 seconds per lap) on controller than on wheel and pedals. Only realised that by practicing on the same tracks same car same tune both on wheel and controller. B) even if you hadn’t pace or were fast, specially replicating the braking and subsequent turning you do on controller goes a long way to improve your racing on wheel and pedals. Only realised that after you said the words ;) hadn’t got much miles on my odometer before this Forza so you’re always helping thanks ;)

I passed out after the first Daytona run, on the 2nd, you hit my exact fastest lap on your second lap, then on your third lap hit a 43.223 without draft and said “this car feels slower for some reason…” 😂😂😂 It’s honestly so wild to see the difference that the wheel makes with smooth inputs on speed retention. In order to hit a 43.243 I have to run 2 perfect setup laps to build a foundation of speed to then take the tight line on the third for that time to be possible for me. I’m curious what you could do with the setup laps…

I need to make another tune for the bug specifically to retain more speed through the corners, I think there’s another 2 tenths available and that it will allow for an even higher achieved top speed
@GrimmLegionGaming18 күн бұрын
@@keithdatSKRdrift that's what I was trying to figure out also.. cause my tune is only .070 slower. But its because I can hold 205 206 without draft around the corners. Where your tune is faster on the straights but I can hardly manage 204 around the bends without draft. It is very quick man, but everything I touch on it makes the corner speed worse lol or I lose to much top end and don't gain enough in the corners.
@keithdatSKRdrift18 күн бұрын
@@GrimmLegionGaming yeah, if you want to give it a go, the closer you get to -0.7 front chamber, the better the corner speed retention, but doing so drops the overall front ride height just a bit “increasing” drag. Additionally, the front tire pressure is currently set to a compromise between ride-height gain and available grip. Dialing that to its proper number at the correct chamber (currently forget what those numbers are) allows for the highest possible corner speed at the sacrifice of highest achievable speed. In tuning for corner speed, there’s also the added benefit of more front grip at the end of the race allowing faster final two laps. The sacrifice being a loss in draft potential, and that causing a smaller possible speed differential to accomplish a pass on the straights. There might be some corner time in taking the rear toe to +0.5, but definitely check that with a full load of fuel in draft because I think it bottoms out….. Compromises….
