I was the one that bought this car two years ago, it turned out to be a bolt on the exhaust side cam gear that broke, due to the cam not spinning in timing along the rest of the engine it hit and bent one valve, we took off the heads and replace those parts and due to that the hybrid battery was also drained to the point that the electronics inside thinks its bad and was not letting it charge. Myself and my daughter did the mechanical work and the dealer took care of the hybrid battery, all in all a gratifying father and daughter project, she still drive it to this day.
