I would make the argument that it’s Pete Sampras with Roger a close second. Sampras was the most dominant player during the most talented era of tennis. Sampras would be dominant in any era.

I played tennis once when I was about 12. Smashed the ball diagonally over the fence on every serve (about 7) never tried again.

I think generally speaking, Federer did have a more influential position in tennis compared to Djokovic. He was known for his elegant game while Djokovic just played and won a lot. Both are great though, Federer is simply more revered.

Young man, you show me an athlete that plays a sport to play "pretty" or play "elegant" and I will show you a ballet dancer. Style is subjective. Winning speaks louder and stronger. Wake up!

His elegant game is pretty but it doesnt make up for the fact that novak has 4 more slams, 12 more master, 1 more atp final,100 more weeks at nr 1 and 3 more year end number 1. Nole is just a complete player he has the best backhand and return on the tour, Great serve, great net game, great forehands. He can defend, attack, serve and volley he can do everything, also federer didnt win every big title, nole won every big title at least twice(and if he would win another montecarlo masters it would be 3 times)

You can hinder your partner too, talking after you hit the ball is hindrance. Some partners want to be a dictator more than a listener because they are a weak player and barking orders gives them an excuse and control. Need better explanation and game play examples!

The fact that he says Novak as the goat is not that surprising. Most of Isner's game was the serve, Novak was the best returner, no debate. Of course Nole was the most difficult for him to face.

BS, makes you look like a complete fool and unintelligent. Let’s all tell upcoming players to play elegantly cuz that would make them ‘greatest’. It says “wins with ease” which means you still need to win and not simply play with ease. Fed is certainly your favourite, don’t equate “greatest” to favourite

In my opinion the greatest should be measures on who would win if both were firing on all cylinders and....im sorry Novak fans but federer wins in 4 sets when his game is fully firing

The amount of bullshit coming from the comments if fed had more slams this wouldn’t even be a discussion and nobody would be making these braindead arguments. Text book example of moving the goal posts before Novak had more slams it was all about who had more slams right up until Novak beat he’s old record. No respect for the actual GOAT Novak
