I know this is several years too late. but for anyone who happens upon this. my thrustmaster was having a similar problem, but i noticed if i squeeze the trigger fast and hard it would not occur, and i just fixed it: Took out the pin holding the orange trigger in place. There you will see the actual trigger lever, a black ridged square with a hole(for the pin to pass through) through it. in a rectangle around that trigger lever is a black plastic frame, that is part of the joystick handle casing. I carefully shaved the inside of this black plastic frame with an exacto razor on the sides just a little bit, and on the bottom a bit more, you should see wear on the plastic at the bottom where the orange trigger has been rubbing against it. you only need to carve away a little bit of the plastic material, like less than 1/2 milimeter. then on the outside of the of the black plastic frame (where you see one tiny screw on one side.) I sanded that surface down on both sides, as will as the corners edges and bottom of this piece with a fine sandpaper. What was happening for me is the Orange trigger was causing resistance as it was rubbing up against the black plastic (and sometimes even getting stuck from squeezing trigger hard to make it work). Probably what happened is the plastic has warped or expanded slightly over time due to temperature fluctuations, and since the pieces fit together so snugly, this was causing too much resistance and friction. So shaving down the problem areas causing the friction solved the issue.

I need your advice bro, I'm looking to buy a HOTAS for FS2020 which is already out, in front of me T-flight X full set with rudder and T16000FCS joystick and throttle, both of them almost the same price, it's not that necessary for me the rudder pedal, so what is your suggestion since you used both?

Hey buddy I was hoping to buy the hotas 4.I've got 2 questions. Since 2020 is already going to start so should I wait for the next model to come? and secondly what all games can i play with the hotas 4 on pc? like only aviation games or can i alos play games like the need for speed,forzahorizon assasin's creed?
@polarbruskigaming44265 жыл бұрын
I do not think they update models frequently, it's not like phones or graphics cards. It depends on the specific game, but I think you can use it for driving games, I use it for Euro Truck SImulator, forza almost certainly supports it, I'm not sure about assassin's creed. You can probably google "assassin's cred hotas" and get an answer. :)

I like the bottom hat switch and button at the very bottom of the throttle. I put controls that need to be out of the way so they're not hit accidentally. For the hat switch I have the ship lights bound to up, srv handbrake to down. And supercruise to forward, and hyperjump to back. The bottom button is landing gear. That analog hat you called a view stick is for your thrusters.

I solved this by putting a headphone pad over the rest. I had to cut a slit in one side to get it over, as the hole was too small to get over the trigger. It's black and imitation leather type stuff so it looks okay.

The T16000m FCS, however i don't suppose you know the difference between the T16000m FCS and T16000m ? Lights i guess ?
@polarbruskigaming44266 жыл бұрын
The t16000m FCS is a "Flight Control System" that includes a throttle. The plain t16000M just has a joystick, and as you mention, the lights are green. I think the FCS also has braille-like dots on the base buttons for recognition, and it has mounting boltholes underneath. I'm not sure if hte plain version has those.
@Broken-Silencer6 жыл бұрын
The joystick on the FCS model has Hall sensors, the same as the Warthog, so it's much more precice.
@NickRuedig6 жыл бұрын
Really? I didn't know that, they are very nice and precise (except for yaw, the yaw sensor is crap, and broke, and I had to have it replaced. This is apparently very common.)

exact same problem here too unfortunately.. did anyone find a solution for this? Also, did you have the green or the orange model?
@bartver7 жыл бұрын
The reason the T.16000M is shaped liked that is because it resembles the one in some fighter jets. In this picture : media.defense.gov/2006/Oct/04/2000541479/-1/-1/0/061004-F-1234P-004.JPG you can see it on the left hand side.
@fs28386 жыл бұрын
Thats an A-10A and t16000m doesnt resembles it. www.thrustmaster.com/en_UK/products/hotas-warthog-flight-stick this one does edit: actually this one resembles A-10C stick but they are quite similar.
@polarbruskigaming44266 жыл бұрын
I think bartver was talking about the throttle, in which case I definitely see the resemblance.

Thanks for the comparison. Dispite the ergonomics, is the 16k worth buying? What about the precision? Are the thrust and joystick connected eachother or there is 2 USBs?
@Kobraisten7 жыл бұрын
hi man, there are 2 separate usbs unlike the tflight. if you are going for precision, the 16000 is better, but for me the hotas x was more convenient: there is a fire button above the primary fire button which is really good in elite when you use fixed weapons, since you dont have to lift your thumb which is really required for precise targeting - for me at least, and the other thing is the throttle, with the tflight you can feel where the middle is. I really dont like forward only throttle so i set a big deadzone for the 16000, now its kinda fine. both have their advantages but for the precision i definitely like the 16000, there is a difference, no deadzone, you can make the slightest moves and you have a full vertical-horizontal analog thrust control on the throttle stick. But for ergonomics, i would go with the tflight. The tflight is also good in combat, look at CMDR Isiona, he flies tflight hotas x without flight assist. I just found myself that i had to set joystick emulation to fix joystick curve for hotas X, but for 16000, it worked perfect out of the box, i needed to set deadzones only for the analog stick on the throttle and for the throttle so that i can use it for full range (back and forth) movements. (I play Elite btw so my comparision is based on that)
@Astrothunderkat7 жыл бұрын
*she Isiona is a female pilot. So, how do you reverse thrusters with the 1600 if it has no middle?
@Kobraisten7 жыл бұрын
𝓐𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓱𝓾𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓴𝓪𝓽 wow thank u 4 the info didn't know that, amazing :-) u have to set thruster to full range from forward only in the control settings. the bigger deadzone u set the more range u get in the middle without movement detection. try it it needs a little getting used to buy with the proper deadzone range it is very well usable.
@Broken-Silencer6 жыл бұрын
I have throttle set to full range, no dead zone required; read on. There is another setting under 'Controls', for forward and reverse thrust axis. I set that to the analogue paddle on the front of the throttle. It works really well. You can have the throttle on full then use the paddle to fine tune reverse/forward in the blue zone in combat. When you let go of the paddle to return to centre, the throttle is still on full power (or whatever amount it is on).
@dmlindsay906 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the in depth look. Have you also used this stick for FSX? I'm looking more for that type and am leaning toward the 16000 because of what you said about the precision. Ergonomics isn't necessarily top of my list because as I advance I'll be using more autopilot. So if you have thoughts on how well this stick might perform in the flight sim realm, I'd be interested in your perspective. Either way, thanks for sharing your insight!
