HI James, I just happened upon our interview again, and enjoyed it thoroughly! Interestingly enough, many of my answers today would be exactly the same. Hope you are well, my friend.

It's so lovely watching an interview with no interruptions allowing the person to answer questions freely. I purchased them as a young boy Mr.Berry's first four singles and still love them today. Thank you for the upload.

Would’ve liked to hear Rick‘s feeling towards Weller not wanting to speak to him since the break after 10 years together. You would have thought that you would at least acknowledge him, it must hurt Rick more than he willing to admit.

There's no such thing as too much Tracey Coleman. Though I am gutted that a video clip featuring Tracey was taken down some time ago. It was, in a word, fantastic. Takin' Me High was the song that was used, BTW.

Policing is in quite a sad state of affairs now. Only one in 20 crimes in England and Wales result in someone being charged....

I'm a big crimewatch fan, she did the incident desk really well I thought, it was such a well produced programme from 1984 to about 2004.

I only just found this I love Jodie Oram! Thanks so much for doing this interview it's so great to be able to learn a little more about her! She is so beautiful she was unbelievable as a glamour model and made such a great career out of it I wish she could keep going with it but I guess with kids etc life becomes so busy. Also with the explosion of the internet the business has changed a bit too although it may be even easier to get into now? I think glamour modelling is absolutely a legitimate career and nothing 'shameful' at all but I guess if you encounter shady people you can get a jaded view of any career. I think psychology and similar would be such a great new field to go into if she has the interest and the time. I have family members in that field and it's an area a lot of practioners go into later in life especially when they have life experience

I can't remember where I heard this or read this but I seem to recall that the author Anne Rice partially based the Vampire Lestat on Dave Berry after seeing him in concert years before.

Well I enjoyed the heck out of that. Great interview! The first BR5-49 album, 'BR5-49', is one of my all time favorite albums. I've listened to it hundreds of times I'm sure. 'Ol Slewfoot', from 'Live at Roberts', is one of my all time favorite get up and go songs as well. Why haven't more BR5-49 fans seen this great interview? You're missing out, my friends!

Grew up as a massive JAM fan. Saw Time UK when they played at my best mates University, really good live band and Playground of Privilege was a decent single. Caught The Gift when they played Stourbridge River rooms and From the Jam when both ex members were in it. Awesome drummer, great memories and a nice down to earth guy, when you meet him. BTW...Good movie choice, brilliant dialogue so witty and funny. Fantastic locations and great set pieces.

Such an amazing interview and so heart breaking that he passed. I had the pleasure of some correspondence with him earlier this year. He was an absolute gentleman, generous and genuine and I was profoundly affected when I heard he’d gone. Everything I experienced was amplified in this brilliant interview- thank you. I feel I know this lovely man a little better.

Thanks for this, and thanks to David for being open and explaining so much about the band's history. Mark seems to repeat the same anecdotes over and over in any interviews and never gives much away. I think the unusual intelligence explain the phenomenon of the band. There's a lot to unpack in Mark's lyrics and obviously the guitar 'feel' is unmatched. David's playing wasn't 'just strumming' - it's not easy to play what he was playing.

I think John is being far too modest about his guitar playing skills. I remember him picking out songs by Dylan, The Byrds and the 'folkies' etc back in college and in a shared house.
