My grandpa used to say that to sing is like praying twice and God loves to hear singing and that being said I am the product of the 1970s 1980s granola hippie Catholic mass with the guitars just like these folks are performing today and we gotta update that and give the Times a little bit or go back to more traditional times of music at mass because this is so easy to ridicule and it's stale not saying that the performance of the people is stale but the style of performance is and I think I would be happy to see the back of guitar hippie masses once and for all the church has such a tremendous history of beautiful and critical music I don't know why we seem to be stuck on this genre and have them for decades now at least in the United States

Excellent Homily on one of the hardest commandments of Jesus. A challenge well put and to consider in making daily choices.

Thank you! And in case any of us decides to go see the "life-size" replica of the Ark, we can even see that (surprise surprise!) there were DINOSAURS on the Ark! Hallelujah! As Young Earth Creationists (such as the new Speaker of the House) "we" know that the Earth is but 6,000 years old. As Bill Nye the science guy put it: "It's all very troubling. You have hundreds of school kids there who have already been indoctrinated and who have been brainwashed...this is about the absolutely wrong and alarming idea that the Earth is 6,000 years old". I personally have met several of these children, who are absolutely certain that the Earth is young, and one of the bits of pseudoscientific flotsam (promulgated at the Ark Encounter) shared with me as proof, is that trees have "many growth rings in a single year". Thus, an "8500 year old Bristlecone" is actually "much much younger". One just has to laugh.

This is NOTHING like the original Church, established by Our Lord. This is a man made, left wing anti God commune. He has just sprouted off a Communist Manifesto, nothing more.

Going inward to find what exactly? Inner peace? If everyones indwelt with inner peace and tranquility then why do we have to sit and consciously search for it?? Wouldn't it just be apart of us and our lives? Just accepting every thought we have huh?? We make critical judgments on right and wrong outside of ourselves all day every day why would we not do that on the inside of ourselves?
