Well called my mom's mom "Mugga" because that's how my sister said "grandma" as a baby. :)

How can you stand up and preach any gospel with a gay pride flag behind you. You have zero understanding of the scriptures. God loves all his children but condemns sin. Homosexuality is an abomination to God

Given over to strong delusion, very seducing. Believing the lie rather than the truth....so grieving after having experienced God thru imperfect vessels...

I want to know the truth. I was raised evangelical Christian, and took it very, very seriously. I remember this one afternoon in my early 20s when I was walking to work and it was fall, so all the beautiful leaves were on the ground. I had this… I don’t know, epiphany of sorts: “I’m just like these leaves I’m walking on. They were alive on the tree not long ago, but now, they’re dead, and their decomposition will lead to new life. They don’t go to “leaf heaven”, they’re dead, and will soon be in a much different state.” I want to believe in “the soul”. I’ve listened to enough NDEers tell their experiences, but, I need my own experience; nobody can have it for me. I’m thankful for the experiences I’ve had up to this point, with this video being the latest as of typing this. Thanks for your thoughtfulness. I hope we find the way. Much love, -Kenneth

You sound like a babbling something or other, how anyone provides money to your fake non profit is absolutely insane. Michiganders, be very angry that an entitled prick like this is skirting by on taxes under the guise of being a church. No one should hand money to this person.

We are so much enjoying your book Ms. Du Mez. We have learned so much and this information has defiantly but the last few years with trump being adored by the Evangelicals. We were going crazy trying to figure out the adoration of trump by Evangelicals, in particular. It all makes sense now, although it all seems antithetical to true Christianity.

Thank you, Kent. Your words regarding faith and science around the 32 minute mark reminded me of a quote from Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. Have you read his work? In his book, 'The Great Partnership': Science and Religion, he writes, “Science is about explanation. Religion is about meaning. Science analyses, religion integrates. Science breaks things down to their component parts. Religion binds people together in relationships of trust. Science tells us what is. Religion tells us what ought to be. Science describes. Religion beckons, summons, calls. Science sees objects. Religion speaks to us as subjects. Science practices detachment. Religion is the art of attachment, self to self, soul to soul. Science sees the underlying order of the physical world. Religion hears the music beneath the noise. Science is the conquest of ignorance. Religion is the redemption of solitude. ”

As a philosophy major in College I first said, “I have a nose, I am not a nose.” Replace ‘nose’ with skin, or hair, or blood, or water. Everything I am made up of....I am not. Even as we say I am complex and I am mystery, we know that we are beyond even that. Great talk, thank you.

Great talk. Imagine someone you confess to regularly over the years. Someone who holds you gently accountable. You can see how this would be good for the soul. Individual confession could be abused, with many examples in history, even up to the present day. But when done right, going one on one with someone who challenges, much like a spiritual coach, the possibilities for growth are endless.

Very Interesting. “More than I think I am,” and “less than I could be.” The two innate dispositions that begin in potency and grow to actuality..... what will our final actuality be is the story not yet known. Thanks for sharing.
