Shepards Pie is made with lamb, always. If you want much the same dish but with beef, you want a Cottage Pie :)

First time cruiser. Usually our trips were the all inclusive resort type of trip. Just booked a trip on this ship based on so the many videos have seen. Most seem pretty positive. Hoping the food and shows are good. Is there a place on board with 80’s type rock playing during the evening? Is there a deck party in n the evening? Any info is appreciated. Love the videos, very informative!!!!

And I see my wife just commented here, as we both I think watched your video -so, about the tipping... its complicated how it works. Short answer is no, the employees are not getting a bunch of money at the end of each cruise. What happens is most employees (other than officers) work on a contract for a specific amount for the total length, usually 6-8 months. Within that salary is also the 'tips', and I say that loosely because it doesn't change. Meaning if you bought some drinks at a bar, and wrote on the check a tip to be charged to you, that money does not go to them. But here's the good part that most people don't know about - you can ask for a refund of the prepaid gratuities on board and they have to give it to you. I recommend to do this, and then give the people that deserve it, cash - like your room steward or a favorite bartender. If you ask for a refund of the tips, that money is not deducted from anyone's pay, so you should not feel any guilt about asking for the refund. Cruiselines count on everyone not asking for the refund, and that money just is more profit for them.

My husband asked several staff how much they get of the paid gratuities and they all said nothing.😢

I just got off the cruise, I was a aurea guest in room 12180 and I had a great time, you do get your own lounge on deck 19 midship in front of the water park so if you don’t want to spend $16,000 on it, I would recommend the aurea experience.

Do you remember if there is a specific line for YC at embarkation? I've seen may videos and I do see they have a tent outside for YC. I also saw really long lines and some of them wrapped around the building.....yikes!!! Not sure if we're able to bypass those crazy lines (if any) to get to the YC tent?

I have been on 11 msc cruises and 6 in the yacht club the last cruise they started to cut back on things and I wasn’t very happy about it but I was treated very well

My husband and I are set to cruise in the Yacht Club at the end of the month....super excited!!! You mentioned you were waiting for your luggage to be delivered. Just wondering if they make you check in your luggage? We'll have a carry on sized. Also, do you need to bring tip money? Did you see people tipping? I know they add the gratuity in your final bill.
