Yes, Mr Stinson is truly a Fabulous Superlative. And beyond the great timekeeping, he is a great blending vocalist, like icing on the track, uh, cake, or cookie or something for sure Always great for sure. Swamp ash drums? Cyprus? The swamp is awash with mysteries,,,,the drums are a good thing to come out of the mire.

Would have been nice to hear it played in a groove.😕 Interesting Idea.

My house has heart pine flooring throughout from old pines that we're on the property built by the original owner. The orange and brown color hues are beautiful. Thanks for making this video

i just bought a dunnett/stanton moore snare with an r4 strainer, and i can't get the snares to completely disengage when the throw-off is in off position. i've seen complaints about the in some forums. do you have any ideas about what i can do to fix? i've backed off the snare tension and it didn't help. thanks!

make sure the wires are centered and not too tight. You want the wires to barely come in when engaged. If they are too tight or misaligned, it can prevent them from fully disengaging. Additionally, check if the throw-off mechanism is functioning properly and ensure that the snare wires are installed correctly. Adjusting these aspects should help you achieve the desired disengagement. Good luck!

This takes me back. In the early 2000s, I had access to a friend's small cabin in the north Georgia mountains. He was a guitar player. One weekend, I show up with my Ludwig maple classics with the 26" kick (this is an important detail). He had a deck that overlooked a small creek. I set up on the deck. At the time, I had a mobile recording set up. I say mobile because it weighed about 200 lbs. We set up and spent about 4 days just recording, and hanging out. That kit has never sounded better. The kick reverberated through the mountains like an earthquake. It was a beautiful thing.

My daddy always referred to heart pine as “Fat Lighter Pine”. The term is used a lot here in the southern states. “FAT” is used because of how much resin is in the wood. “Lighter” is used because the wood is used a lot to light fires in fireplaces and wood burning stoves. “Pine” is used because the wood comes from old pine trees. “Fat Lighter Pine” I never heard it called “Heart Pine” until I was in my 20’s.

A lot of people selling solid shells will tell you how much better they are than ply shell. But they never just play a solid shell drum Vs a ply drum. Why is that? It's comparative advertising, after all. Show us why your product is so much better. I think that it's simply because the majority of people couldn't tell a significant difference.

Hmmmm....missed out on Birch. The infamous Yamaha recording series was birch. Also missed Beech. Lots of Sonor drums were beech as well as some Yamaha. But interesting video.

The cherry tree grew next to the fence line because somebody was probably eating cherries next to the fence line while they were passing by and spit their seed over there.
