....and there's the linkage!! ... plus the fact that Bowie chose to release the BLACKSTAR on Jan 8 as well which turned out to be two days before he passed away. Have added a bit more to the description.

I Do know Why this particular segment did not have a commentable section on it. But This message SHOULD be Gotten by the ones who have an issue With Getting it. But rest assured it Will be @ some point in time. But a True Bowie loyalist will get IT. I'm also including this in a piece I'm writing that I'm planning to post on Bowie's Birthday and possibly on his departing day. Bowie 1984, a prelude with Quaaludes in a Tin Machine opening the doors to 2024 and to possibly the year of........ kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWK7nX6cgNJnZ7ssi=gqS_AuVUrB1zZsu4

"People Are Turning To Gold" is a great song title. Sounds like a Bowie song. My sister before she heard the track saw the title and missread "Golden Years" as "Goldeny Ears" again a plausible title for a Bowie song. People probably know how the working title for "Yesterday" by the Beatles was "Scrambled Eggs" as McCartney had the melody in his head but was still working out lyrics. It's interesting how artists often say melodies seem to come to them from some other place and they then have to use their talent to turn it into music we can all enjoy. As a non musician i've had the common experience of well known tunes running around in my brain but have never experienced something new and never before heard by anyone else. That must be quite an intoxicating phenomenon for an artist; to pluck a song from the ether as it were. I think it's why musicians never stop working at their talent. People may retire from a job, but being a musician is forever.

"Goldeney Ears" not 'Golden Ears'? - either way, neither one sounds like a Bowie song. Nonetheless, I appreciate what you say about the creative process.

Always liked New Killer Star. Lyrically clever and musically punchy, with lots of true to form double meanings/ interpretations woven into the words. The very title of the song can be interpreted a few ways. Little hidden gem off Reality if i remember correctly? Many of his later albums were really solid though they didn't get the acclaim of his 70's work. They have a maturity, benefitting from an accumulation of skill and experience and are far more personal than his character driven 70's albums (which i also love). Listening to his later albums you feel you're really getting to know the man behind the masks.Great to hear a stripped back piano version, only wish it was longer! Thanks for posting and thanks Bowie!
