It’s in A minor. Typically, simply saying a song is “in A” is shorthand for “in A major”, but it can also refer to the parallel minor which is A minor in this case. In a strict music theory sense, the chords in this song would be A minor, G major and C major. These would be the I, VII and III chords in the key of A minor.
