The fix for me was literally an ipconfig /flushdns - the reason is sometimes when crashing alt-f4 you get a network socket that's stuck and the game can't handle you to open a new session.

Being subscribed to you for a while, I’ve watched lots of your videos on elite and now star citizen. Have you ever given eve online a try? I’m kinda curious what your thoughts are/were on it since it’s one of those other “spaceship mmo sandbox” sorta games that are out there?

Eh. The first stage of the Overdrive Initiative was the most fun I had in Star Citizen, and _none_ of the subsequent missions came ever close to replicating that 😞

this is a REALLY good mentality to have with the gaming industry as a whole now adays, never get too hyped over a game, never EXPECT a game to be everything you thought it would be, because with how devs make games no adays, youll almost always be disappointed. If you however set your expectations low, youll be pleasantly surprised occasionally, and other times get exactly what you expected....shit.

Tried a character repair... it did nothing.

Ali Ring at Kokojina became my home station, though originally by accident. I first parked there because I was doing some high tech trading and Kokojona was a high tech system. A little bored of trading in my Eagle, I felt like trying a new ship and job, and at the time I learned about refugee transporting for the galactic war effort. I bought a Dolphin Because it looked like a decent but otherwise unassuming, equipped it with economy passenger cabins and a little fuel scoop, and set off. However, while I was doing refugee runs, the Dolphin grew on me and I began to appreciate its other qualities; the high jump range, the excellent heat management even while fuel scooping, the large internal space for a small ship, and the dolphin screech whenever I boosted. Eventually I got done transporting refugees with way more money in my account than before, and I decided to park and outfit my Dolphin for exploration. That’s when I discovered that Ali Ring also has an encoded materials trader, allowing me to more easily get the materials needed for an FSD upgrade! After that, my decision to operate mostly around Kokojina as “home” was only natural.

character repair is not the way that is only in aboslute last resort of being unable to play on any server at all. 60016 is only related to some servers not all of them. u can also try to change your profile region location on the website, as its region based issue

It can work, and it can't. My friend and I locked out for weeks over holidays, numerous Char Repairs, and nothing happened then. When we finally got back into game in January, we BOTH lost avatar appearance, just had a sort of default... So DO NOT speak of absolutes!

Try these extra options, clear the RSI launcher data, delete the game files other than Data.p4k and validate the game, the key point is to clear session data, reset your login credentials

I've tried it about 10 times already for different bug. My character dies when I use consumables. Only thing that it did was transfer me to start location and that's it. But for my friend it fixed all the issues (he had the same problems as I do) so it's weird

Well I did that, now I get an authentication error lol. I just can't with this game anymore. I've been a backer sinc 2012 but I can't even mine - I go to a planet, get my ROC, cutty flips upside down, can't get back in my ship - log out, log back in "60016" hahahah - 12 years and we're still not even close to any type of stable playable game.

60016 just means the server is full, just wait a bit lol

Character reset did take everything you earned in game but some of us do not care and want to play.. I have been trapped in the 4.0 hotfix server corrupted shard since the 22nd of december.. Character reset literally reset your account and since this is the beginning i had nothing anyway.. just a ploy to lure you to subscribe so u can get ur cool armor back ..which character reset returned ALL your account bound items lost or not.. character repair is a placebo for most..

Doesn't work. Character either crashed or you exited a dying shard and the character is in a permenant loop trying to load back into the dying shard. even with region changes it's always the same shard until it either that shard fixes itself or dies off and resets. Happened a ton of times to me and even with character repairs it doesn't do anything.

When I got this error, I just kept trying entering the game and eventually it did let me in without a character repair. So idk, you mileage may vary.

i did character repair because i fell through the planet, tried logging in, was met with 60016 error, did character repair and got a 19xxx error that said i could not connect after multiple attempts. verifiyed game files on laucher, spawned in pyro where i last docked before error, thank you!

So I bought 2 of the pre-built ships and 25 hours into the game, I still have not used them yet. I admit I do feel like I should "earn" them. My reasoning is this: If you do not understand the grind it takes to build up reputation, merits and money early on. You will quit if you simply try and skip into nicer ships. Nothing like respecting 10LY hops for hours at a time to appreciate how amazing a 50LY jump is to have with the Mandalay. Also getting interdicted and getting killed in 3 shots by a pirate when you make a mistake makes you appreciate the fire power of the Python MKII more.
