The CHURCH OF CHRIST. BEGAN AFTER HE SAID BEING NAIL TO THE CHROSS. IT IS FINISH THEN JESUS DIED

Peter explained what happens at baptism when he said, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). But he did not restrict this teaching to adults. He added, “For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him” (2:39, emphasis added). We also read: “Rise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name” (Acts 22:16). These commands are universal, not restricted to adults. Further, these commands make clear the necessary connection between baptism and salvation, a connection explicitly stated in 1 Peter 3:21: “Baptism . . . now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

I am of the belief that every good Christian SHOULD question their faith. Not because I believe they should come to the conclusion to abandon it, but because it is better to do so in a scholarly environment in which God is present. You should do this lest you believe unquestioningly until tragedy crushes your faith due to its lack of solid philosophical grounding. God bless you ❤️☦️

When Priscilla and Aquila saw Apollos (a man mighty in scripture) preaching the word of God in Ephesus they took him and taught him in areas he lacked knowledge (Acts 18:24-26). Brothers it saddens me reading most of these comments. A lot of y'all bash the Church of Christ rather than try to express with love areas you feel the church is wrong and provide any real constructive criticism. How can one know unless he is taught? Though I believe the Church of Christ does well.

Galatians 5:4 King James Version 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. ( If one can be justified by the law, THEN they have fallen from grace ). Now tell me can anyone be justified by the law?... I didn't think so! SO IF THE ONLY WAY ONE CAN FALL FROM GRACE IS BY BEING JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW; then that means NO ONE CAN FALL FROM GRACE! very simple friend! 2 Peter 2 is all about false prophets and teachers, not people who are saved, just read the first few verses in that chapter. When does escaping knowledge of the world mean being saved? lol

What does osas adherents like yourself do with that pesky conditional and contingent word "if" sprinkled all throughout the New Testament such as in Romans 11:22.
@brohuggie2978Ай бұрын
@@Smallgard Hello friend! You asked about Romans 11:22. This verse sits within a larger passage (Romans 9-11) where Paul addresses God's dealings with Israel and the Gentiles, a topic rich with implications for understanding God's administration and the importance of faith. Let's explore this together. Romans 11:22 highlights the "goodness and severity of God." Two distinct "branches" or instruments God uses in His administration: Israel and the Church. These are not interchangeable; each has a unique role in God's plan. Israel, as the natural branch, was initially the focus of God's attention. However, due to their unbelief, they were "cut off" so that the Gentiles, represented by the wild olive tree, could be grafted in. This grafting in isn't about becoming part of Israel, but about partaking in the "root and fatness" of the olive tree, which represents the blessings of the Abrahamic covenant and Christ Himself (Romans 11:17). This doesn't mean God has abandoned Israel. God is not finished with Israel. He reminds us of the concept of a "remnant" - those within Israel who maintain faith. This remnant, justified by faith, persists throughout history, and God will ultimately graft Israel back into their "own olive tree" (Romans 11:24). This future restoration is central to understanding God's overall administration. Romans 11:22 warns, "Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." This speaks to a dispensational shift, not individual salvation. The warning is directed toward the Gentiles as a group. If they don't continue in God's goodness and faith, they too, like Israel, can be cut off. This "cutting off" refers to a shift in God's focus in His administration, not a loss of individual salvation for believers. Its like the "great falling away" (2 Thessalonians 2:3), a future apostasy where many who profess Christianity will abandon the true gospel. This falling away will primarily affect those associated with Christianity who haven't genuinely believed, highlighting the vital importance of true faith. Throughout Romans, including chapter 11, the importance of faith is paramount. The "righteousness of the law" with the "righteousness of faith." Israel stumbled because they sought righteousness through works of the law, while Gentiles attain righteousness through faith in Christ. This distinction is crucial. True faith rests entirely on Christ, not on our efforts or adherence to the law. Christ is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30), and our position in Him is the foundation of our relationship with God.

OSAS almost sounds too easy, if it is easy, then: 1. Why does 1 Peter 4:18 say it is difficult for the righteous to be saved. 2. Why does Matthew 7:14 say the gate is narrow and only a few find it. 3. Why does Yahusha say in John 15:6 to remain to in Him, if not, such branches will be cut off and thrown into the fire. 4. Why does Paul say in 1 Timothy 4:1 that in the latter times some will abandon the faith. As some of you know, without faith, it is impossible to please Yahuah. These are just some passages that I read that question OSAS.

"But there’s ANOTHER STEP... ANOTHER STEP... ANOTHER STEP... ANOTHER STEP... ANOTHER STEP..." Yet Scripture says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). And, "If it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace" (Romans 11:6). Salvation is not a staircase-it’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Those that still call themselves Churches of Christ and use multiple cups are an offshoot based off of fear during the Spanish Flu not because multiple cups are correct doctrine. The New Testament makes it clear on cup of the fruit of the vine and one loaf of unleavened bread was used not multiple. Luke 22:17-20 KJV [17] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: [18] for I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. [19] And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. [20] Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. Also, having a service split up is also not biblical. Are they getting the same five items of worship in the seperate service? Is a seperate service biblical? No.

Today, many churches are turning it into concerts instead of praise. Smoke machines, etc. Bible also told us the Savage is the last day of the week. How many churches do this? Almost none. This is the first false teaching.
