Dear mentors. I took my FEBOT exam on saturday and got back my results which, thankfully were a pass. I just want to thank you for your good work for it was a very enjoyable experience passing through the stations while applying all the knowledge and examination techniques I’ve acquired during the countless video hours in the past year. It really felt like you guys were sat by me during the exam. Million thanks for everything. Kind regards to the Orthopaedic Academy family

Hmm so if you can have late degenerative scoliosis due to injury. It's not so hard to believe juvenile scoliosis is caused by repetitive strain

Thought we don't work puppies to hard eg jump from high places because of growth plates so maybe adolescents walking miles to school with a shoulder bag could encourage spine to warp. Statistically does scoliosis affect poor or privlaged more

At 45 I struggle to move arm in a motion backwards eg removing overalls and I get cramp in ribcage looking over my shoulder eg car. I weigh 54kg I'm 162m I've done a charity boxing match. Am I wrong in thinking my heart is not protected as much as it should be by my rib cage

Are the curves typically linked to left and right hand. Important because it may be an argument for private v public health system

Mine was spotted by my mum at 13 no pain. Doctor got trays back and thought I had slipped disc's he would be about 110 now. Specialist said it was out on 45% angle. But didn't recommend surgery due to the probability that Manuel labour wouldn't be an option. I'm 45 now and staring to feel it

Regarding mode of injury, it is usually fall on outstretched arm. So the energy travels from wrist ,disruption of DRUJ, IM, also raptured, and exits through radial head causing fracture. You explained it the other way round. Would that be due to a different mechanism of injury?
@orthopaedicacademy
@orthopaedicacademy 21 күн бұрын
The energy is created by the body weight , so it goes from the body moving distally
