PlanSwift 11 absolutely works in Windows 10

Our PlanSwift trainers recommended to adjust the Width property of the linear items from within the properties. Doing this will make the line appear thicker when performing and printing your takeoff, without affecting wall calculations. Note that this solution is specific to walls, as adjusting the width on other types of items can potentially affect calculations.

After you click the first point on a line, you can press the A button on your keyboard to enter into "Arc" mode. Then click the middle point of the curve, and the end point, and then the segment should display as a curve. This works when performing both area and linear style takeoffs.

The main limitation with single-click takeoff has to do with the quality of the image you are trying to use. If the image is too grainy, the program might have difficulty discerning solid lines and openings.

In the Estimating tab, you can add a column for Division (or use the Division layout) to see that information, but there's not a simple way to Sort or Group by that information within the Estimating tab. You could create a folder for each division and manually move the takeoff items into the folder, but you'd need to manually do that for every job. For simple organization by Division, the Reports tab is still the best solution.

PlanSwift is not compatible with MacOS. To use PlanSwift on a Mac, you would need a program like Parallels which would allow you to install Windows on your Mac. Then you could install PlanSwift within the Windows portion of your Mac.

When you press "A", it does not automatically convert your last line into a curve. It merely puts your cursor into Arc mode. At that point, you still need to click the middle point of your curve and the end point. Then you should see the curve.

You are referring to the 3D Viewer Plugin which is no longer supported. Only the Plugins and Starter Packs currently available from PlanSwift (listed in the Plugin tab) are supported, and only in supported versions of PlanSwift. If you purchased a Plugin or Starter Pack for a previous version that is no longer supported, there is no guarantee that Plugin or Starter Pack will be compatible with newer releases.

Yes. Use the Joist Tool from the ribbon bar like we show in the video and set the color you want to use. Once created, right-click on the takeoff on the right panel and click "Copy" then go to your Templates tab and right-click again and select "Paste." From there on out, use the Joist Tool from the Templates panel instead of the ribbon bar and it'll always be the color you chose. If you want to change the color to something else permanently, just edit the template in the Templates tab. If you need help setting this up, reach out to training at 888-752-6794 Ext 4.

There isn't an option to automatically print only the pages with takeoff. You'd just select the "Print Visible Items" options from the Print window and then manually select the pages you want to print. A little trick you can use, is after opening the Print window, look at the Pages panel on the left and you'll see a little takeoff icon next to each page with takeoff. This can help you know which pages you need to select when printing.
