Jaguar are not Bentley or Aston Martin and certainly not Rolls Royce. Really what JLR need to do with J was to make great cars that had no issues (like the iPace did with the recalls). My reaction is the capitalised "GU" stands for "Gay-Up", they doubled down on in the choice of the 2 most GU colours, choosing the Marketing GU to present the new brand using deep radicalised LGBT+ language. This campaign is the perfect opportunity for the ZegMonster's "weird weird" comment.

The people in the commercial probably don't have drivers licenses let alone the means to own and operate a Jaguar.

I don't expect much from the car unveiling this week. It will be sleek and shiny and cool-looking. But Jaguar ain't cool no more

Short answer. Yes, totally.

They copied Bud Light!! They are now exposed to be selling 'woke' ideology, which is being universally rejected across the globe, instead of selling reliable, powerful cars. If they had rather focused on reimagining the car itself and selling that new car idea, they would likely attract more customers across many ideologies. They have lost me for sure! I loved Jaguar before this ad came out.

Jaguar did NOTHING original here. They copied EVERYTHING! Somebody got paid way more than they're worth for this campaign.

Very insightful podcast. Reputational management is the most powerful weapon in a risk communications professional’s arsenal. It’s the icing on the cake that makes C suite executives sit up and take notice, after they’ve heard the operational and financial consequences of looming crises. Losing money is one thing, but when your organization’s brand risks being permanently tarnished, it takes the confidence element to an entirely different level. This is where good RCPs provide unique insights to use risk or crisis preparedness as opportunities, helping the organization “pivot to profit”. - Igniting Clarity, Empowering Trust.

100%. When I first left journalism to become a PR pro the team wasn't called "Communications" it was called "Reputation Management Team". As AI takes over the tactical tasks it's really becoming the business we're in.

China and India are the largest and ahead of us in terms of Internet connections. U.S. lawmakers are political animals, and this legislation plays on public opinion. The solution is stronger national data privacy regulation. Meanwhile, this will churn within the courts.

Singling out one platform offers an “arbitrary and capricious” regulation argument. The famous Red Lion (1969) case defined that when it comes to the First Amendment, it’s the right of “viewers and listeners” that is “paramount.”

Tick tock is so powerful because it's a mouthpiece for the Chinese people party. You're ridiculous if you don't realize that. There's a reason why all these protests are going on for Palestine and they're all chanting the same slogans. They're all saying there's this difference between feeling unsafe and being unsafe. It's tick tock. Same thing on the other side, the radicalization of the far right. Yeah sure all social media companies are bad but tick tock's the worst. And it's naive to think any differently. We don't let any other Chinese media in the country. We should have never allowed tick tock.
